First year towing with my 2022. Have a 5000 lbs. travel trailer. What’s everyone’s thoughts using cruise control in tow haul. FYI. I love this truck! Ignore the haters.

I use CC occasionally when it’s dry and flat. This truck will handle that 5k no problem. Should be an enjoyable tow.

Pulled my camper yesterday about 2.5hrs worth, ~4,500lbs in TOW (not TOW+, there is a difference), with cruise mostly set at 68 on relatively flatlands. The Tundra barely cares but it does jog a bit with the turbos if the incline is long enough.

Recently pulled a 5,500 lb. camper and Tow mode worked great on the flats. Once I hit hills it started downshifting and at one point hunting for a gear so I changed to Tow+ which was 200 rpm higher and stayed with a gear much longer. I was using cruise control this entire time.
Also, going downhill the engine breaking was a nice feature but I didn't notice a difference in braking in Tow or Tow+.
