Hello folks, about to pull the trigger on a '25 Limited with TRD package. Should I have toyota do the lift at the dealer or aftermarket? Pro's/con's? Appreciate all the insights! JB

I had the 3 inch lift installed at the dealer. No issues so far and doesn't negate my warranty.

Pro: it likely has warranty should something occur
Con: nothing bought from Toyota/installed by Toyota is ever reasonably priced.
I just did my brake pads and rotors last weekend which was $1200CDN after taxes. The dealership wanted $2400 in last years money for a job i've never done before and was able to do in half a day with basic tools.

When you say rotors do you mean having them resurfaced?
Havent done a brake job in a long time but that sounds Crazy Expensive!!

I mean I bought new rotors and pads. Keep in mind I'm speaking in Canadian dollars which would be roughly $870USD

My Mother was Canadian so of course we have a bunch of relatives in BC.
Last time We were up there I was shocked at the price of Beer!!!
My Aunt has a place on Lake Okanagan we used to visit frequently.
Went for a visit a few years ago and was Shocked at the water temp!!!!
As kids we had no problem swimming in the lake...
I didnt get up past my knees on our last visit.
The lakes here in Texas get up to 80 degrees in mid summer.

Oh nice! A beautiful area for sure. It draws folks for its wine/beer which unfortunately also kicks up the tourist tax on dining and drinks.
I give you credit for trying, the cold is for real. With the Okanagan being a glacial fed lake it can be a little overly fresh at certain times of the year. Kids are tough as nails, their skin can look cyanotic and they'll still be acting like it's bathwater lol.

The Wife and I took my Aunts rowboat across the lake just to see the otherside kinda thing.
We rounded a HUGE boulder while rowing down the shoreline and right there not 10ft away were two Bear Cubs playing in the water!!
At first it was like COOL!!!
Until I looked up and saw Momma Bear sitting on the bank!! The last place you wanna be..!!!
You could have pulled a skier behind that rowboat!!!
My Aunt and Cousins refused to believe we'd seen bears.
The Wife did get a few pics of them running up the hillside while I rowed my ASS OFF!!!
Of course I took the film in immediately to get developed to prove our account.
While the pics weren't great they clearly showed the bears running up the hillside apparently as scared of us as we were of them.

    Baaaaahahahaha!
We made a little trip with the fellas downhill mountain biking and on the way back noticed a line of cars forming on the shoulder of the highway so we joined the pack. 90 degrees to our car and 30 feet away was a full grown Grizzly bear! It was damn near as big as a Volkswagon and despite that there were tourists trying to get out of their vehicles to get a better shot. Insane

Is the lift kit available now in Canada? Last I heard there was a stop sale - something about a tool.
