It's so Damn Tempting!!!
Not knowing jack about about NO setups it kinda has me nervous.
Surely there has to be a safe hit without blowing SHiT Up!!!?
My biggest problem would be frequent use......I mean really frequent!!!

I haven’t seen one done in a tundra but there’s no reason you can’t. I’d do a wet a shot with a WOT switch. Start at a 75 shot and keep an eye on the afr’s and knock feedback and bump up from there.

A shot is just a reference for how much power you are adding. So a 75 shot is 75hp. A 100 shot is a 100hp. The nitrous solenoid has little jets that you swap out to adjust how much nitrous you are spraying. Same with the fuel solenoid.

WOT switch is a small micro switch that will only spray the nitrous when you are WOT. Spraying when you aren’t at WOT is a recipe for disaster.

There are two types of kits. Wet and dry. Wet is you have a solenoid for the nitrous and a solenoid attached to your fuel system. When you spray, it sprays both nitrous and fuel and this extra fuel helps the afr’s. A dry system is just a single solenoid that sprays just nitrous. It’s ok but you really need to make sure your tune is dialed in solid to make sure you don’t go lean. With a wet kit you still need your tune dialed in but with that extra fuel solenoid it’s helping make sure you don’t have a lean spike.

In my opinion, a dry kit is fine for small shots, think 50-75hp. Above that and I recommend a wet kit. More work but more safety. I also recommend a progressive shot which ramps the nitrous up based on rpm and other things. Makes for an easier and more controlled add than an immediate hit.

That said, the feeling of having an immediate 150hp hit is extremely intoxicating.

Hit Keith @dirtydeeds for some safe shooting. There was a guy on tundratalk who had a built motor with NOS direct injection on each runner from the SC. I posted the pic a few times. Same could be done with W/M.

I used to run a ton of nitrous in my old rides. Wet system is the way to go. The hits on blown car are far better than an NA car since this also does some cooling effect. Small shot of spray would be fun lol

 

What kinda HP can you expect with a mild shot in a SCharged Tundra?
I said in a previous thread I was kinda underwhelmed with the Magnuson and hope he can Turn it up at the 400 mile check up.

 

Have you actually got on it yet? I'd say lets start there first and then next smaller pulley and tune etc.

 

Oh yeah it's installed.
Sucks I've only had a few dry days to get out there and test it.
And of course the Break in period is still on.
The installer recommended 400 miles before you really get on it.
Which is doable since thats only a tank of gas,and being retired I can take a lot of worthless trips to get it there.
Had people here say the break in period is BS but I figure better safe than sorry.
Dropping around $12K makes it really easy to take it easy for the first tank.
