Is this prompt normally related to changing your oil?

Yup. Reset it through your settings each time you do your oil change and I think it pops up 300-500 miles before hitting 5k :monocle:

Also tire rotation. If you're using synthetic oil and do 10k mile changes, then just rotate tires, reset warning and off you go.

Warning starts blinking during startup and disappears at 4,500miles and stays on when 5,000 reached.

Unless you’re doing a lot of highway driving, please do not go to 10,000 miles between oil changes…

Obviously, if 10k mileage mark hasn't been reached after 12months, oil needs to be changed anyways.

If conventional oil is used- 5k miles or 6 months
    Synthetic - 10k miles or 12 months.

I'm guessing OP could use a quick primer on resetting the "MAINT REQD" light.

    1. Set the tripometer to: Trip A.
    2. Turn engine all the way off.
    3. Press and hold the tripometer reset button (in most Tundras that's holding the tripometer button all the way down).
    4. While holding the tripometer button turn the key to "acc" (this is not turning the engine on).
    5. Watch as the light (I can't remember which one) on the dash flashes several time. Might read "resetting maint." Takes about 7 seconds.
    6. You be dun.
