Awesome. I hope you get yours sorted out and this was really the issue/fix.

Correct. TRD Pro is Hybrid only.

I’m having the exact same issue. Brand new 2025 SR5 with the Off Road package. Less than 100 miles & owned truck for less than a week.

The one feature common among all 3 of our trucks is the Off-Road package. I can't help but think it's something to do with the rear diffs with the e-locker. Or maybe something even more specific to the Off-Road equipped trucks.

Good news for you is, it might be a simple trip to the dealership to fix. And you're fully under warranty.

Heading back to the dealership on Friday for the second time. First time they blamed a rust prevention device, reset the system & had the same problem before I left my driveway the next day.

New to the forum. Just took delivery yesterday of a new 25 Platinum Hybrid TRD Offroad. Less than 300 miles. As soon as I drove it I noticed the flickering lights described by you all. Sent video of it to the sales manager. Dealer is picking it up today and bringing me a loaner to drive so they can figure it out. Safe to assume its the differential issue you all are talking about? Have you had any other issues since yours was replaced??

Sorry to hear that, but definitely the same issue. It’s all related to the Off Road package & rear locker.

If anyone needs help replicating the issue, roll to a stop under 15-20mph. Keep your foot off the gas & the brake, happens almost every time as long as the truck hasn’t been driven longer than 30 minutes. Happens in reverse too.

Mine came home yesterday after 3 trips to the service department. Finally appears to be fixed. $4600 in parts & labor for a truck with under 500 miles. All covered under warranty, obviously.

    Parts Replaced:
    - Differential Gasket
    - Differential Carrier Assy
    - Diff Go LT 75W-85 (Diff Fluid)

Toyota Tech suspected the locker was improperly shimmed from factory causing truck to think locker was engaged & causing lights to flicker before going out. Removed & replaced 3rd member, bled brakes & filled fluid.

Thanks man. I'll share this with the service department that is looking at mine. I've got to say it's pretty frustrating for this to be happening with a brand new vehicle.

Hey, your service department picked up your truck AND gave you a rental. Thats more than mine can say, I’ve been driving 35 miles each way. They’ll get you taken care of it sounds like. Love the truck otherwise.

Curious to see if anyone has a repeat issue here… hopefully it’s one & done.

Very true. They are taking care of it. Hope it gets sorted out quickly. Hopefully Toyota gets it straight so people aren’t continuing to have this issue.

Got my truck back yesterday. Differential replaced. All is good now.... except the 2 gouges in the roof and the scraped up antenna where someone wasn't paying attention while at the dealer. So now they have to get that fixed for me.
Maybe one day I'll get to enjoy this truck.

Ouch! Glad you got the diff issue fixed. I thought the Hybrids had a different rear diff because of the added power. Maybe Toyota decided all Off-Road and Pro trucks get the same rear diff for the locker?

The Hybrid does have a different differential.

    There are four total differentials.

    Non-Hybrid, Non-Locking
    Non-Hybrid, Locking
    Hybrid, Non-Locking
    Hybrid, Locking

So the commonality has to be down one level. Perhaps the same e-locker in all the locking diffs then. The "shimmed wrong" explanation could hold.

There is a reason that Toyota is building the new plant that they are down at TMMTX.
