Anyone ever had issues with Realtruck

I purchased some items for my truck and all of them came in over a timely manner. I noticed one item was hung up. I finally gave them a ring almost a week after to see where the item was. They said apparently the vendor did not have the order in the EDI system. It was rejected due to the pricing not matching.

They then said they would have to get approval to adjust the price (By $3.00) and then they would re-submit the order. They kept telling me they were waiting on the vendor. About a week and a half in I finally called and asked if they issued a PO to the vendor and they told me yes. I asked for the PO number because I was going to call and check the status of the order and find out what the hold up was.

They tell me this happens every so often and they are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Yet they are the one who internally has not moved forward.

This is when they told me they were not waiting on the vendor they were waiting for internal approval to process the order. Its been two weeks since initially placing the order and they are still in the same spot.

I've gotten to where I am calling every day to find out the status. Just to keep them on their toes. No manager has approved the $3.00 price difference so they can re-submit the order.

Has anyone else experienced this? Since this has happened I have placed two other orders from RockAuto and Parts Geek. I've gotten everything in already and everything is installed. If it is going to be a gamble every time I order parts on I cannot see ordering from them again.

If you have items in your cart, I'd put a hold on placing that order until you call and confirm inventory.

 

RT is a 3rd party that sells stuff that usually ships direct from the manufacturer. Usually you can order from the manufactured directly to save yourself a headache. But yes, a few have had issues with RT, especially when trying to make a return. I ended up throwing an $800 item in the trash because their customer service is horrible. I wouldn't buy anything from them ever again.

 

@Tundra234 Jesus, that bad. I'm about to cancel the dang order and find another bull bar somewhere else. They were cheapest by far than anywhere else I have found.

 

Bull bars are not very common on the 14-21 but a few members do have them. I'm not sure if he carries them or not but check with @memario1214 at Hotshot Offroad. He has all kinds of stuff for our trucks.

OP, question for you. Are you ordering product from Real Truck via the forum? I do and utilize Brittany as my 'personal shopper' and receive a sizable discount orders and they ship our the next day.
