I've found quite large specimens of petrified wood here in Colorado. State law limits you to 25lbs per day. Wasn't keen on violating that. There is a place a few miles east of @ColoradoTJ on private ranch land that I have permission to hunt petrified wood. There are a few 6 to 8 ft broken logs on the ground that weigh several hundred lbs. In good conscious, I would never take a section. All well more than 25lbs to say the least. No pics and will never tell where it exactly is.

Never knew collecting petrified wood was a thing, very cool and interesting. I have Morning wood pics if anyone's interested.

Yeah that was common back in the day at my work during the Christmas luncheon, then everyone would go back to work with a solid buzz to mildly drunk.

These are all great points from our glorious resident of the Night. The problem seems to be timing, as fully awake sometimes only presents a twig, which is less than desirable sometimes. Still working on waking up without actually really waking up.

 

Consider the weight savings of the BBS forged wheels. Ultimately providing more payload capacity and they are stronger. One of the best mods I have done.

 

That is the BLM limit of one piece or 25 lbs per day.
