    I feel ya.
At T2S when Casey and Polo were riding with me, we found some rubs while trying to keep up with y'all speed demons on the trails lol.
We'd hear and feel something sketchy and I'd say "Found it."
Then Polo would say "Pretty good."

I don't think General Spring's are very good, either. I'd guess they're similar if not identical to the ones that came with my ATS leaf springs, and they show serious corrosion after getting muddy exactly once. Exterior corrosion doesn't necessarily mean they won't last 10+ years, but they already look worse than the 23 year old OEM u-bolts they replaced, after getting wet and muddy once.

Mine were new but T2S and Jambo were both muddy events back to back. I didn't wash her in-between. Now they look nasty, but I ain't worried. The old ones looked way worse. These are from Alcan.

Yup. Here they are today. 2 months and one mud bath after install. Hopefully it's just a surface thing. Doesn't answer the initial question I guess...but I'm hesitant to go no-name Amazonian stuff.

I'm jealous of the flip kit. I don't do enough crawling for it to really be worth it, but it looks so much cleaner.

No I don’t think you’re crazy. When I most recently adjusted my coilovers they felt like they riding really harsh. I thought I raised them too high but I noticed that compression was really smooth just the rebound was too much.
Fox probably designed these on a cocktail napkin and skipped the design review and the testing phase.

I'm so ready to pull the trigger on some hammer hangers. But I think I'm going pair em to a custom fabbed rear shock relocation instead of their kit. The kings I want are about 1.5" too long when compressed for the AG shock relocation kit, but the correct travel (12"). I really don't want to only get 10" of travel just to use Kings that fit the AG kit. I feel like that would just be throwing money away. I'm sure I'd still be gaining some travel, but not enough to justify the costs.

@FrenchToasty did you also do the cross tube on the hammer hangers? Strange it only includes the brackets and hardware if you add it, but not the tube itself.

The kit is like that to cut down on shipping I’m sure, it’s just a piece of pipe/tube; pretty easy to get ahold of locally

In keeping my OEM JBL radio, I started missing my SiriusXM. I recently nabbed a Crux BTS-TY2 Bluetooth/Aux module off eBay for half the price it usually goes for, works awesome, absolutely no complaints.

I thought cool, I have bt/aux now. I could use my phone for SXM, but that would require me always opening the app and trying to use my phone to change channels while driving (I've been trying to cut down on doing that anymore since I had my son 4 months ago) I don't want to be distracted from the road.

I had an SXM antenna from my previous stereo. I ran that down through my 3rd brake light, in the door weather stripping and down the left handle pillar to behind the radio. So far so good. I looked at the current SXM radios, one of which I have at work (Onyx EZR). I decided I don't want to clutter up my dash anymore with a receiver/cradle setup in the way of the windshield, so I started looking into other options. There's the SiriusXM Commander Touch that hides everything behind the dash and you just have the controller unit out front. But it had mixed reviews and complaints of being laggy. Plus it's expensive new or used.

I started researching older XM radios which are a lot cheaper option and they pretty much all work still (you just don't get the extra channels, it goes up to 2xx somewhere there). I was ok with that, I just listen to the music and comedy channels mostly anyways. Everyone on Reddit was saying their audio quality is still superior to Sirius standalone receivers. So I found the predecessor to the Commander Touch, the XM Commander. Grabbed one off Mercari after watching it drop price for weeks for a cool $9 + shipping hoping it had all the parts in the box (it did). Boy this thing is vintage :D it came out the same year as my truck! I like it though, it's got the physical scroller knob and remote control (had to order a new one, only part that was DOA). Plus it has ability for 30 presets! That's something my Onyx definitely can't do. And best of all. I was able to mount the controller out of the way up on my overhead console for a clean install after being inspired by a Crutchfield article on it. It sounds great.

Anyways, here's my cool old shit in my cool old truck. Please excuse the wire mess, I plan to clean it up when I have more time. It's hidden for now. Also those power and ground wires ARE butt connected underneath the electrical tape.

    IMG_3917.jpg

Tapped IGN power at the fog lights and ACC at cigarette lighter.
    IMG_3932.jpg

Decided to stuff everything under the catch-all tray/cup holders. Put a ground loop isolator between the tuner and the Crux (definitely had engine noise without it) and ran a Fakra-to-SMB adapter to the antenna, I didn't want to use the original antenna since the modern ones have better interference blocking. Then was able to tuck everything down under the cup holders to give room to reinstall the tray.

    IMG_3929.jpg
    IMG_3928.jpg

Funniest thing about the old reviews on this receiver is that everyone hated the sound quality while they were all using the included FM transmitter. I went straight to RCA outs for that. I know not many people were able to do this 21 years ago as easy as you can now. Sound quality is as good if possibly not better than my Onyx, I believe this runs strictly on the XM high band. Lastly I mounted the controller up on my overhead console. I love the way it looks. Keeping the early 2000s vibe alive in this bad larry

If we think about just the rear axle for a moment- consider what happens when you go around a turn. The outside wheel has to travel further than the inside wheel. The front and rear axles both have a differential in the middle that allows the left and right axle shafts to turn at different speeds.
Engaging 4wd on our trucks locks the front and rear driveshafts together so they always have to turn at the same speed. If you go around a turn, the front and rear tires won't follow exactly the same path, and so the front and rear driveshafts will be wanting to spin at slightly different speeds, but they can't. At this point you have stress inside the transfer case because effectively the front driveshaft is trying to twist it one way and the rear driveshaft is trying to twist it the other way. When there's enough stress, when the difference between the distance traveled by the front and rear wheels is great enough, something has to give. You want the thing that gives to be the tires - they need to slip in order to equal out the distance traveled between the front and rear. It's a lot easier for them to slip off-road than on dry pavement.

If the road is wet enough that you're spinning the rear tire(s), you're probably ok to put it in 4wd. If you're not spinning the rear tires, do you really need it in 4wd?

I made my own brackets and bought some grade 8 bolts for the hammer hanger cross tube that I built. The holes are already drilled in the hangers to accept their bracket. I have been really impressed with how the hangers and cross tube handle on/offroad though.
