    3/1 Lift, 35s, Front Bumper, etc etc
    practically all the antennas mount that way for GMRS; you'll still have to get the antenna outside the cab somehow; I went through a rubber plug in the floor.

    yeah thats not a issue already route some lights cables through the firewall but I was referring the brand / model... will give a test drive anyway :)

    Got into the GMRS game a while back.

    Between this and MURS, there isn’t a reason to get your HAM license.

    GMRS is for talking to your friends while doing stuff, HAM is for making contacts with strange old men

    While some people do like chatting with others, I’m pretty sure there are a whole bunch of people with ham licenses that like to hone their skill and see how far signals can reach given propagation. You can speak globally, even to the international space station with HAM.. sure as hell can’t do that with GMRS

    So just ordered the G1 kit ... now HAM sounds tempting but doubt it anything that powerful will be compact :) i think my father in law just got his HAM license I might talk to him to built a channel later down the road :D
