True for the Tundra hybrids, but the Sequoia hybrids had the little badging.

All the Sequoias in this generation are hybrids. They don't make a non hybrid.

The TRD Pro always had the vents. There's nothing here that indicates the non pro Sequoias are getting the pro style vents. You're making assumptions with no evidence.

Shhhh. Karl needs to be able to complain about something. Don't tell him the badging isn't any different. He needs this.

As some of us learned in the 2024 Capstone thread, AI is the end all, be all, most accurate dispenser of information on the internet. So as a public service, I asked Google AI what will change for the 2026 Tundra. I, for one, am glad to see we'll finally get a 14 inch screen! Enjoy.... (highlighting is from Google)

The 2026 Toyota Tundra is expected to receive a refresh, likely including a new Trailhunter trim, a redesigned exterior with a more modern look, and potential updates to the interior, including a digital dash and a larger touchscreen.
Here's a more detailed look at the expected changes:
    • Trailrunner Trim:
The 2026 Tundra is likely to feature a new Trailhunter trim, similar to the Tacoma and 4Runner. This trim will likely be focused on overlanding and low-speed rock crawling, complementing the existing TRD Pro trim's high-speed desert-running capabilities.
    • Exterior Redesign:
The Tundra may receive some exterior updates, including new front and rear sheetmetal, to bring the truck's styling in line with the Land Cruiser and 4Runner.
    • Interior Updates:
While the Tundra's interior is generally well-regarded, there may be some updates, such as a standard digital dash and a larger touchscreen. A 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also rumored.
    • New TRD Pro Color:
The 2026 TRD Pro models will feature a new, striking blue color called "Wave Maker".
    • Other Potential Changes:
The Tundra might also get tow hooks and a wireless charger.

I don't care who you are, when you use the word "irregardless" unironically you lose all credibility. Then the dipshit's kid is all surprised the TRD Pro Sequoia has marker lights in the grille and thinks it's new for this year.

They are hacks who have somehow garnered an audience and that gets them access. That access makes them believe that they are more than hacks.

AI... everyone thinks it means "Artificial Intelligence" but it's really "Anti-Intelligence" because it's undermining people's ability to think for themselves.

I think that sums up 95% of Youtube/Social Media influencers in general. Their audience and following is what gives them their credentials, not necessarily any insight or technical knowledge as they are just regurgitating marketing bullet points. I consider channels like TFL and their ilk just advertising platforms for auto & aftermarket parts manufacturers.

I think guntubers are even worse than the various car channels out there.

Disagree. You can find good and bad 'tubers in any line. That broad stroke doesn't fit on all of them.

They don't know that the same thing Toyota did with the 2/2.5 gen is going to happen with the 3rd gen. Change a few things, call it a huge leap forward and charge even more for nothing. But like they say, build it and they will come or was it a fool and his money will soon part. I don't know anymore.

Rather fond of my reasonably priced 2.5 Gen. Do wish this huge price hike on vehicles stops.

Just as much as 3rd gens saying 2nd gen drivers must be poor and can't afford the new one is stupid, saying a 3rd gen owner is a fool for buying something you wouldn't is equally stupid.

That's coming from someone who wishes he had kept his 2019 but is currently enjoying the hell out of a 2025. Blanket statements at the whole segment of owners is pointless.

Same idiots exist on TW and 4Runners forum. Tried and true V6 over turbo 4 any day blah blah blah.
Why do they even venture out in current Gen sub forums?

Having the preference is fine. I hands down prefer the V8, especially after the rocky start of the TTV6, but I don't think anyone is dumb for getting one or poor for not getting one. We all have different needs and risk aversion levels. Gotta figure it out for ourselves, but the chest beating from either group at the other isn't helpful.

Not sure what it is about the 3rd gen that brought it about so hard. There was shit talking between 1st and 2nd gen, but it wasn't this petulant. It was good natured ribbing among a community and there was respect on both sides. Asshats on either side were rare, and usually discouraged from within their own group.

The mutual respect seems to have died with the arrival of the 3rd gen.

Wow thanks for the story. Interesting that the Tundra team did this. Do you think it will translate to something tangible in real life since the trim did come into production on other models? Or since it was just a concept, we will have to wait/it might never come out?

It was never meant to ever be on the Tundra. It is unlikely to come to the Tundra and Sequoia.

Makes sense. The Trailhunter would likely cannibalize TRD Pro Sales that the Tundra can't afford to divert. The Tacoma is a much better seller and can handle the different varieties more easily.

That is not a 2026 model year Tundra. It's not even a 2025. There is no power tailgate.

It would seem they took a previous press/corporate fleet truck and painted it. Same with the other models shown.

Does the Pro have the power tailgate or is it an option? I know the SR5 doesn't get it, but IDK if it's auto included on limited above or if it's just an option in a package.

Limited has the power tailgate as standard. TRD Pro is based on Limited.
