In hopes that Toyota devs actually read this site, I want to know how they decide what meets their criteria of what to fix for everyone.

I own a 22 limited and understand the fuel line and engine replacement, however I have one or two extremely annoying issues with my truck

#1 acceleration lag. I was told this can and will be fixed with a software update which is great.

#2 THE IQ CHARGER IS USELESS

The only reason I decided to create an account is to ask why in god's name haven't they recalled the charger.

The new tundras have a different iq charger, so obviously they KNOW the old one's suck. Why are we just SOL on this or forced to spend $600 on one from a 2025 model???

Oh and please bring back the V8 since Trump pulled back the EPA Standards. PLEASE.

Lawyers. If enough failures occur for a given problem, where the(potential) liability cost exceeds the repair cost. To their credit, Toyota (In my opinion) goes well beyond what other companies do.

A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.

Glad I wasn’t the only one who immediately thought of this.

I 100% believe this. I work for an agency that literally does this. It's never about doing the right thing..

But yes I am glad Toyota steps up more than others.
