If this were real, my biggest concern would be the power plant. Seeing as the 5.7 is gone, they will have to team up with a bigger engine which brings them to the 6.4 or bigger, I don't know if they would do that or do it in house.

At that point, they would be very new to the game and I would trust one of the big three that have been doing it for a while. I know, the statements of all the problems, but so far, mine has been good. Over 2K miles on it without an issue.

Just compared to what they came out with, if they came out with something newer, I would be very skeptical of QC for a while.

Yeah, there are plenty thousands of Toyota die hards dreaming of an HD truck. Probably never going to happen unfortunately.

At least you didn't type all that, haha

I think the Tundra shows why it won't. Toyota has had strong entries in the segment, and they struggle to claim a big chunk of the market share. The brand loyalty aspect combine with the idiot "I buy 'merican" fudds makes it really hard to break into the full size truck market.

    Lots of stuff!
1,000 ft-lbs of torque! That little 3.4 V6 is going to be screaming for more bearings! Maybe a joint venture with Cummins would get them to that torque target :)

I do like that they photoshopped the Tundra plastic front end onto a Chevy Dually?

They can just use the upcoming Cummins gasoline engine named B6.7 Octane. Turbocharged. Shares a lot of parts from their B6.7 Diesel engine. Production starts 2026 in NC and will be available in 2027. Inline 6, 6.7L. Highest advertised hp is 300hp, 660 ftlbs of torque. It may make its way to some Hino trucks though. It's built for longevity. It already completed testing. Runs on 87 octane. It'll be on Class 5-7 trucks which are like the Ford F-550, F-650, F-750.
