Not in the 2014-2017…maybe not 18 and 19 either (can’t recall when they added it exactly).

Ok, then it was part of the TSS additions (which included a LOT of new electronics) in 2018

Can confirm. It’s a 2018+ deal with the TSS front camera.

Took it for the first drive and put about 20 miles on them. What a difference! When I went from a spacer lift to Toytecs, it was a night and day difference. Going from the Toytecs to the Bilsteins was like leaving a spacer kit again, but a whole lot better. These Bilsteins are a true "You get what you pay for" and Toytecs are no comparison to these. When Colton recommends a product, he knows what he's talking about. I felt a difference just backing out of the driveway. I could not be happier with this setup! @memario1214 @reywcms @HulkSmurf14 @Vendeta2k @TwistedTad @RainMan_PNW @Dr3wski @Dave8699

Lol that's rad! Nice work knocking the install out and keep using them so they're broken in and settled! Purpose built stuff is absolutely amazing!

OK thank you. Has anyone sorted out how to retro fit sensor and whatever else would be required?

I keep putting off getting this. This would make it so much easier when the plate needs to be removed and installed. Were you able to leave the plate on when you swapped the hardware?

Yes I just installed the plate on the rear of the skid plate and that dang 5mm hex bolt in the center with the skid in place.I had stripped the 5mm hex when installing and knew I better swap it while I was changing the oil. Also put a wrench on the rest of the bolts to check for tightness and they were somewhat loose.:)

I could be wrong but it sounded like @armyoffoo stripped the transmission level check bolt and @HulkSmurf14 you are referring to the front differential fill and drain bolts.

You would need the windshield camera, and I can only guess a new ECU, new CANBUS system, new instrument cluster and then all the new wires, wiring, and sensors that are associated with the 2018-2021 trucks that integrate with the newer ECU and CANBUS.
The addition of TSS in 2018 competely changed a significant amount of the electrical systems.

Oh crap!! You're right! I had one thing in my mind but was reachung for the thing next to it...disregard for transmission, but it's still a better option for transfercase plug hardware...argh! I apologize! I k ow there's an Aussie group that has hex plugs available...I'll try to locate them...good catch!

OK thank you. I knew I should have searched harder for a 2021 before settling on a 2016. Obviously not a doable mod.

Other option is to upgrade your headlights to the Pro LED headlights from Toyota and get the iHacker harness (search iHacker on the forum if you haven't stumbled across it yet). These leds are a massive improvement over stock just in normal low beam mode. You might find you don't need the auto high beams.

Guess my 2018 may have this option but I have not felt like I need more light especially in areas where I'd be concerned about oncoming vehicles.

    Yeah
I don’t know many people that use the auto high beam (myself included).
Out on long straight stretches of highway the do “ok”
But the the hills and woods and curvy country roads I spend most of my time on they don’t decide to flip until it’s too late.

Nothing crazy, just a tire rotation yesterday. BUT, I plan on dropping off my second hand Icons for a rebuild and respring this week and just placed an order for new rear shocks to match! With baby number two coming in a month, the wife and I agreed that making the truck ride a little better would be a good use of money.

Finally got the dual USB C in the mail. Installed it immediately in about 5 minutes. Glad I have modern connections now.

Also, upgraded the dual USB A ports installed by the dealer on the back of the center console to this.

    upload_2025-5-19_10-12-21.png

I have both dual USB A ports if anyone is interested.
