    Hey all,

I've got ZUK doing a regear to 5.29s for my 2014 and the front clamshell is damn well boogered. Definitely trust his reputation and all the info he has provided so far, so if he is telling me "it should be replaced," well, I listen.

I'll be checking locally on CL, but dont have a social media presence anymore, so can't check marketplace and such. I'll also be looking at the local yards here in Flag and Prescott Valley.

If you, or know of someone, that has a good condition front 9" clamshell for a 2014 Tundra, or similar year, please let me know.

I'd be in your debt for the help, and on top of paying a fair price for it, can contribute to your delinquency with barley pop, single malt, or sodas(or whatever) for those that dont imbibe.

Shoot me a PM here, or a text at Niner too hate, 6 hundo, veinte uno, 85.

Thanks a bunch and hopefully y'all can help out...pics of the diff to follow.

Pinion contacted the carrier here and there:

The least of the issues w the boogered case:

Basically, the bearing races are so loose that they fit in by hand, which is not a great thing according to ZUK.

The rear was making the most noise, but ZUK got it set-up just fine. The front though...aluminum is less forgiving...so...the search for the new case.

Any help sourcing a case would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Were ya calling from a walk talkie?

    Nope, musta been cordless…

Kidding aside, check car-part.com Last I checked, front diffs were about $125. My local wrecking yard is a part of their network so if they don’t have a part, I can send a listing number to one of the guys there and he’ll get it on the distribution truck. Usually gets here in a week or so. Or, you can pay for shipping.

Also, your general locale may help drum up some local help.

Edit - just saw this is the AZ section. There should be a plethora of clean parts in your region on the site above.
