Dang Ray that is indeed another DANDY!
very nice looking knife Ray. That pattern is cool, looks like an oil sheen on water.
Then the box on top of that is really very nice indeed. You The Man!!!

One year my wife got me a thing for a knife making class for a Xmas gift. It was a cool experience. The guy was on Forged in Fire, he had a ton of knowledge to share. I got make a small fixed blade. I did all of the rough work, and he fine tuned everything. I don't have a lot of use for fixed blades, so it stays in my knife box for the most part.

My favorite pocket knife is my Pro Tech.
    It's a Switchblade.
One touch of the button and WHAM!!!
Ya gotta make sure you have a good grip on it or it'll jump out of your hand!!
Kinda pricey at $300 bucks but it holds an edge better than any knife I've ever owned!!!
I've always thought Switchblades were illegal but apparently not.

Yeah, that's awesome!! Those guys on forged in fire IMO are much better than me. I'm retired so I can take my time and make everything to the best of my ability without being hurried. I use mainly 5160 spring steel and 1095. I've made a few ULUs put of A2 tool steel.

And more. I've been at it for about 20 years. Do my own forging. Everything is made in-house. No knife leaves me before it is shaving sharp. Always comes with a sheath.
I was in Wyoming at the peak of Covid and stopped by a knife making shop. They didn't sell sheaths with their knives......I'm like wtf? That's like selling a car with no engine.

I just got caught up on the thread. I love your work! I hope you will stick around and continue to share. I am similar in several respects; I make all my own Damascus, I stabalize and epoxy cast my own handles, and I make my own sheaths. Retired in 2018 and planned to continue with blacksmithing that I began back in the. ‘70’s. I will be msg to you soon

I reckon back in the day the switchblade was a big deal. I am not up to date with when they used to be a thing but to me I have always considered them just a knife.
    Now it's a gun thing! :)

I saw a clip the other day about one certain congressman bitching that someone from the other side had buried a provision in the 400-page bill that slashed the tax for Form 4. I sure hope that happens.

    Edit:
    Here it is
    Section 112030

OTFs and autos are illegal here in NJ as well. Just have to find a dealer that will ship to you.
