Don't worry man. A lot of people got excited when Toyota announced the return of the Supra, then they gave us a fucking rebadged BMW. Sometimes it's better to NOT get something new.

Better not repeat that trick with the Celica/MR2 and that sexy, new 2.0L monster.

Edit: Also, the new Supra just pisses me off. I turned down driving one because I could barely fit, and I'm not fat, just a bigger frame at 6'1". The only thing worse than it was a 2nd gen Miata (which was physically impossible).

That's a good point! I had just been saying for a couple of years that Toyota should come out with a HD version and thought this was legit. Oh well. If that's the worst mistake I make this week, I'll be doing very well.

I imagine if they did do an HD model, it would be like the Titan XD.

I just hope it happens. Not that I could afford one, just think that it would be a game changer.

Buddy of mine had a Ford F250 amd nothing but problems with it. Bought a Dodge 2500 and is already having problems with it.
I bought my 2014 Tundra and haven't had a bit of trouble with it. Nothing whatsoever.

The good thing about this is none of you have to wait. For 73-74k dollars you can have a High Country 3500HD.

Cummins was courting Toyota for that disaster of a v8 turbo diesel. Granted, I don’t know which is worse - the motor you can’t get parts for or the truck that falls apart around it. But secretly deep down, I still want one…

Toyota owns Hino as part of their big conglomerate, right? Why not just go for some tried and true Hino engines, or the Cummins that the Hino's already use?

Hell, I'd be plenty happy w a first gen DC Tundy with a 1HD-T are readily available parts in the US.

But, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride in a diesel powered Tundy.

    I know right?

The Cummins 5.0 was the only turbo diesel in modern history in a "HD" truck that had its gas counterpart beat it up the Ike Gauntlet series on TFL. That my man is embarrassing.

Honestly the Titan Xd wasn’t awful in concept it just had a really bad engine with that Cummins. How they put out a diesel that was worse in every metric to their standard V8 was… a choice.

Lol, yeah.......I got so excited!! I mean, I didn't REALLY think Toyota listened to me. I've never contacted them about it, just have said for a few years they should come out with an HD.
And I C&Pd the body of that statement.
