A while back I bought the Autoloc module to make the rear window on my Crewmax go up/down with one touch. The reason I haven't installed it yet is because you have to cut into the factory harness and I do not want to do that if I don't have to. I would like to build a pigtail to go in between where the rear window connector goes into the rear window motor (if that makes sense). I'm looking for a little help to see if this can be done.

The connector is Q10 in this diagram.
    Rear Window Connector 1.jpg

The description says that Q10 is:
    Rear Window Connector 2.jpg

    This is the connector type:
    Rear Window Connector 3.jpg

I would need to source this connector and all the necessary hardware, pins etc.
But I would also need the other end that could plug into this connector. Any ideas?

For reference this is what I'm trying to avoid cutting into.

Love the idea of being able to roll down the rear window!!!
Are there any aftermarket options out there?
Or can you use the Toyota version?
    I have a 2016 if that matters.

I'm more than halfway there. I just need one connector and I will be able to do this.

@daveeasa I remember your posts from when I was on Tacomaworld years ago. Now that you were linked above and I realized you were on this forum as well, is there any way you could help me source a connector?

Looks a lot like D24 from earlier gens which have part number diagrams...

It's a Crewmax only option. Double cab can only get a little window in the back.

    Damn!!
    Mines just the extended cab.
Not having any kids I had no reason to go double cab.
Plus when we go out with friends I never get asked to drive since no one wants to ride in those puny jump seats unless you're a hitchhiker.
Even then you might choose to ride in the back.

Toyota names them funny, but yours is a Double Cab. The bigger cab is the Crew Max. Why they do it different, nobody knows. LOL

thank you for this, but refer to post #1 where I already have this identified. I need the connector for the other end.

I thought you were just looking for the part number of the connector. My bad. I can't find any reference to a similar plug that would be the pair. The other end seems to be the regulator motor itself or in the case of the first gen it is used for the fog light switch and the door lock switch.

That's exactly the conclusion I have come to. I'm hoping that someone, somewhere might have insight into this and have an idea for that other end. I may need to find a junk regulator motor and create something from it.

as I mentioned earlier, my wife's T4R has the auto down rear window switch, you might be able to look into that wiring to help out. hers is a '24 and the switch is located on the center console.

Through my research I read that it isn't compatible. I cannot find the thread though to reference it.

SWEET BABY JESUS thank you for this link. I have spent too many hours trying to search the horror that is te.com looking for particular connector housings. This is such a timesaver, especially when you don't know the connector series/mfg.

I was going to say it's likely an AMP 025 but couldn't find a 6P which looked right.

I'm pretty stoked on that link. I can look at drawings of different connectors and all the tech goodies. How freaking awesome.

Check the build link in my signature.
NOT ALWAYS, but often the Toyota connector part numbers will be a single number less for the male connector that mates with the female.

There’s a lot of asterisks there, but it’s often a starting point. Many times there isn’t a mating connector because it only is ever used to connect to a PCB or device. Other times the mating connector was added to the system later and so it’s completely different. And sometimes it’s just a matter of different colors.

in this particular case, it does appear that your female connector mates with 90980-10796. They are a 2.3II terminal.

Corsa is a great resource if they carry the specific manufacturer line. I use them often, and have seen their list grow over the past few years, but sometimes I have to go much deeper to find what I need.

@RainMan_PNW, could you do me a solid and list the common brand/models you have to use often? I'm not asking for PNs or anything specific, but I would like to look into the other common ones. I've so far only studied the online catalogs for all things Deutsch and now AMP 025/040/070.

What was your way of finding the part number for the male connector?
