Front Inner axle seal depth

Good morning all, I got my truck back together after the re-gear, all went smooth. Leak free for 250 miles, then this morning noticed my passenger front inner axle seal leaking? Ugh, the shop installed them, but I didn’t get a measurement before I took my diffs to them, does anyone know how far you drive in the seal? Thanks!

 

Curious to know this as well.

 

Repair manual states passenger ADD tube axle seal depth to be
4.8mm to 5.8mm
0.189” to 0.228”

Pinion seal depth
5.6mm to 6.6mm
0.221” to 0.259”

Driver side axle seal depth
-0.45mm to 0.45mm
-0.0177” to 0.0177”
Or just flush

Great info! Zuk has my diffs right now, and I will be installing(again) new seals once I get the 3rd member and clamshell back.

Also have to do rear axle seals and o-rings.

that’s pinion seal depth, not add axle seal

 

that’s what I thought, so I confirmed with him. I might just try both and see which one doesn’t leak haha
