Need help with JBL upgrade 2021

Hi guys,

I am completely lost in audio set ups, I have a 2021 limited with jbl and I am going to upgrade to either kenwood 1057 or 1058 HU. I’m trying to sort out how to swap out the factory sub? Do I need to get another amp? I just want a 10” sub with more power to match the rest of the system. Most of the time I can’t even really hear the JBL sub. I am not in any way trying to overwhelm the cab with bass or throw back to high school when huge bass was cool. I want balanced audiophile like sound.

i would appreciate any input on what the best method will be. I’m gonna go to an audio shop tomorrow and talk to them but wanted to go in with a bit of knowledge ahead of time so i can make sure I don’t get sold on the wrong stuff.

things I’m looking for:
- louder sound overall (i hear the HU will improve that without having to swap out speakers)
- more bass
- retain steering wheel control
- i have a scan gauge 2 and would love to get trans temp etc on the HU instead of the device/maybe front camera

the last one is a nice to have not a need. What do you all recommend to get this done?
