This odd thing started happening about three days ago. Every time I turn my truck on, the horn chirps twice really fast. Not sure what is happening.

I have one of those dealer installed alarms on it. And I installed a remote start a few years back, but this has never happened before.

    I have a 2016 crew max 4 x 4.

    any ideas?

You have to uninstall the dealer alarm, or tracked drone they have installed.

had the same issue and same thing happens if you unplug it or mess with it.

cost me 200 bucks for uninstall, which was annoying.

The dealer alarm btw is usually free and they make their money with subscriptions. It’s tied to multiple harnesses too. It basically allows them to track your vehicle and you can too if you have the app. I really disliked the feature and dealership wouldn’t install so I took to a car audio shop and they did.

They eventually fail, I just found out too there is sometimes a battery in the connector that when it goes it can make the horn chirp.

this is interesting. I may dig into this a little deeper and see if there IS a battery in the system that can be changed.

You may see a green button like device below your steering wheel near OBD port. It flashes some. If not, highly advise removing.
