Five years ago someone (@Kimosabe ) recommended this site for reupholstering. Has anyone ever bought from them? Tempted to upgrade my driver seat bottom which has a slight tear in the side from someone's fat ass slowly tree sap glooping its way out of the seat instead of jumping out ready to fight like a man. Also has some of those superficial cracks from sun/age I'd like to get the jump on....

It’s supposed to be nice weather next week; so I will take a bunch of Ibuprofen and get down in the floor and start cleaning out my A/C coil. Thx “Shifty” I read your thread and sure hope I don’t break the resistor when removing it. (My fan currently works on all speeds so that would suck) I did however find the cleaning kit (see attached pics). Wish me luck!! I couldn’t get the barb you had for the end of my hose but I will make this work.IMG_2175.jpg IMG_2176.jpg

think i might swap this in as a front seat. May need a weighted cushion in case of a collapse, but seatbelts be damned, it could be cozy.

you dont need seatbelts if the seats are comfy enough.

I'm very interested to see if he divulges the location. I'm pretty secretive about good spots I find, especially in places like southern Utah that have gotten completely overrun in the last couple decades. Those shots look like the White Rim Trail to me, but you aren't "finding a spot" and "having it all to yourself" there, since it's designated campsite, reservation-only and very, very popular these days.

But yeah...I'd like to know how to find that camp spot too. Maybe some strategic PMs rather than posting on a public forum for all the world to see? :)

Hopefully the smell doesn't get to you. I prefer BG's FrigiClean product, it smells light years better. The OEM kit has a bit of an ammonia odor (to me at least). I guess I should mention that in the reply I linked you with eh?

On a camper trailer forum I used to frequent, I'd see people start a thread titled "share your favorite fishing spot!". And people would actually respond with their spots...I couldn't believe it. I guess they hadn't been around long enough to see all their favorite places "destroyed" by crowds.

I had a good experience with him with my T4R but not with my tundra. I sent home my seat cover to him to use as a template and I never got it back and never got new covers from him.
The ones he sent me for my 4runner were great but 50/50 experience. Granted that was during 2020 and I wasn’t sure if he died after I sent my seat to him.

Maybe they changed the formula…. Fingers crossed. I’m going to re-watch some YouTube videos regarding the resistor removal. Two screws and then do I wiggle it out? I assume it’s connected to wires or a plug since it has 4 contacts for resistance measurements? Update** Rewatched YouTube videos and got all my questions answered.

The local parts jockey at the dealer called me when I put in the order to say "it was locally/regionally fulfilled" or something, and different regions use different part numbers, so it may be the formula is different between regions because the supplier is different? I really dunno.

And good on you for the YT video answer. But yeah, if you see my post, you can see the resistor. It's effectively a metal plate with a big block of ceramic on the back side. That ceramic is brittle. I didn't realize the ceramic block is barely smaller than the hole, so I just yoinked it out, and chipped a big chonk off it. When you pop out the screws, treat it like that Milton Bradley board game "Operation". Gently start pulling straight back toward you until the ceramic part clears the hole and you should be golden.

The opening is so shallow on clearance that I used two rounds of electrical tape to tape the chonk of ceramic back onto the block, and two rounds of electrical tape made it too big to fit back into its hole.

I probably need to look at cleaning my coil and seeing why a majority of my airflow only comes out the drivers center vent.

I had a weird situation that I uncovered when I removed the lower dash trim under my steering wheel. The plastic vent tube that distributes the air to the left side of the truck was not secured properly whatsoever. This was not why I was in there to begin with, but it was a good find because now my balls vent and far left vent have a lot more airflow now. Just in time for the summer.
