I have no idea and I am known to be an idiot when it comes to cars :) I hope I didn't replace the same quality front sway bar from a black one to a red one LOL. That will be a classic stupid on my part :) But looks cool now :)

The front is an improvement. The black one is hollow and 17 lbs. The TRD is solid and 29 lbs.

You think? The light is just inside of the tire, even at full lock only a corner of its above the tire…I’ve got ~ 35” tires, don’t see how they could hit it but I’ll kept an eye on it, these rock lights are new to me

The TRD sway bar is an upgrade and provides better performance for 2 reasons (well 3 reasons)...

The larger diameter of the sway bar means it's stiffer and has more resilience to the torque and 'flex' that is induced during hard cornering. Which means it keeps the body a little more planted and 'flat' in the turns.

The second portion of the upgrade is the bushings. Generally speaking the bushings are the weak point in terms of being the first to give or flex as the sway bar is working and doing its job. The bushings that come with the TRD sway bar are a significant upgrade over the OE ones that come with the black sway bar. You can seeing performance improvements by simple upgrading the bushings of your OE black sway bar....

Finally, it's an upgrade because it's red!!!!

Replaced the worn out 4600s in the rear with new 5100s. I'm in a road salt area so I fought with the passenger side to try to unbolt it. No dice after about 20 minutes or so of breaker bar pulling it hit a wall and wouldn't budge. I broke out the cut off wheel and cut both shocks off..The rust turned a 30 minute job into a 2 hour job. The shaft was seized inside the rubber bushings and washers essentially making it "one assembly". So even after cutting the shock off right below the bottom washer I had to break out the hammer, crow bar and end up making another 2 cuts to get it to break loose. This is even after hosing everything down with PB Blaster the previous day knowing what I would be facing. Front brake rotors and pads are up next this weekend. I know the guide pins are frozen on them so it will be another round of cut and hammer fighting all the way. The good news is everything I replace I coat with a healthy amount of Red grease to hopefully prevent the rust or minimize the intrusion. Obviously won't be able to coat the brake pads or rotors but I am tossing around the idea of some dry film lubricant on those guide pins..

I recently did my brakes and used the old stand by Anti-seize on the pins. I like the red grease though too.

Did it all wipe off when you inserted the pins? I watched a youtube video that was decent and the guy used some blue anti-seize for brakes on the back of the pads and the pins. However when he inserted the pins after greasing you see all the grease collect at the head of the pin being pushed there when inserted. I talked to a few folks as well and everyone agreed the sliding of the pads across the pins will remove the grease or anything else you put on it. The dry film will eventually wear off but I think it would hold up a ton better than a wet lubricant and can be reapplied. My only other thought is to replace the pins with stainless, however that is a completely custom endeavor I don't have time for this time around.

No, I didn't experience all the anti-seize coming off. I did however reapply where I could being very careful not to touch the pad material.
I think I'll check them though and see what kind of shape they're in.
