Welcome from TN! My ex-wife is from St Catherine's. Down around Niagara Falls. They still have Harvey's hamburgers up there? And Swiss Chalet?

Yes. 2 adults fit in a dc backseat comfortably, and definitely for in town. I wouldn’t want to be the adult in the back for anything longer than a couple of hours, but in town is fine.

Both are decent looking Tundras. The 2019 will have Toyota safety sense and radar adaptive cruise with brake assist and the mileage is good. If you’re worried about the room, bring the car seats down with the kids and see if it works for you.

The 2013 also looks good for the year and the kilometres are low for that year. Make sure you can get the service records. Check the frame for rust. Platinum is a nice trim level with leather seats. Look close at the driver’s side seat bottom and see if the bolster is broken down. The crew cab will certainly give you more room but you do loose box length. Make sure to check the overflow coolant bottle level. If it’s low or empty it could indicate a coolant leak. Check for cam tower oil leaks that can be seen through the front wheel well. You can usually smell them when the engine is warm.
The 2019 has the potential to have less problems but it’s more money. The 2013, if it’s in good shape without accident has more room in the cab and leather is nice but does have the potential of needing repairs in the future but it’s also a lot less money.

yes for sure to both, I’m debating or waiting for a new one in 2026 or 2027 but the 13 is almost 30 out the door with taxes and all that I know it’s in good shape though it’s been well-maintained

Two forward facing car seats not happening in DC Tundra. Need CrewCab or Sequoia.

Smaller bore or shorter stroke? Pretty sure it's the latter.

I'll just throw this out there: service records are meaningless.

My cousins momma took his tundra to friend's repair shop for tire cupping while my cousin was away and couldn't do it himself. When mechanic looked through the truck, turns out engine was frothing at the mouth. Oil was darker than Starbucks extra strong coffee and foaming inside. Truck was always serviced at the dealer.

Also, I was helping my aunt pick out used car and saw a decent looking matrix. When I looked under the hood and opened air filter cover, the thing was probably 10 years original. Lady selling the car said she was servicing her matrix at the dealership.

Keep them fingers crossed on those dealer service records.

This isn't some Ford dog engine. Acceleration is fine and efficiency is fantastic. Have you read what kind of mpg numbers I've been squeezing out of mine? Excellent motor for driving around!

19-20 mpg mixed driving isn't hard.
(22 mixed - does take some effort.)

I'm not sure. I just assumed it would be more cost effective to bore a block less and still used the same crank. Need to look up the part numbers between the two for the crankshafts.

I agree, the 4.6l has decent acceleration but it’s not the same as the 5.7l. MPG is similar, maybe 1 mpg better than the 5.7l. I’ve seen 20mpg with my 5.7l if I drive conservatively. Toyota dropped the motor because there just wasn’t enough of an advantage over the 5.7l to justify it and the 4.6l towing capacity dropped considerably.

    INMHO,
The Gen 2 or 2.5 years have proven to be most impressive in the reliability column... Good luck in your search, get a good one!
