Happy 5/7 (5.7) day everyone!

Return of the Jedi. Had a 2018 storm trooper, sold it 5 years ago, bought another 2018 last week.

it’s crazy how 5.7 hemi is same displacement as the iforce engine, yet it sounds different.

 

Ignition timing, firing order, Intake design, throttle body, intake runner shape, port shapes, valve sizes, valve arrangement ,valve timing, crank angles, bank angles, bore, stroke, vvt, exhaust manifold, cats, exhaust system... What did I miss?


However, my FIL has a 5.7 hemi and I was surprised at how much more rumble his had than my stock 5.7, so I get it.

And it's funny that the Toyota 5.7 is a hemi by definition.

 

the 5.7 hemi’s have always had more aggressive sound than toyota’s 5.7 V8 engines, yes.
