I've seen nothing but problems, unable to stop the engine from running rich, and constantly tossing codes. I know at least one person on here that's confided with me privately they regret ever installing the JBA LT's, but I'm not saying names.

@455h0le_dachshund sent his ECU off to have it tuned remotely. I don't recall who @Weagle used. I'm not sure if @FrenchToasty has his stuff tuned out. There's two others on here running JBA LT, one I'm not gonna mention based on that last paragraph, and the other ... I'm getting old, and it's not coming to me, maybe they can speak up.

But hopefully in tagging those three, you can get some related info.

I had the 06 tuned by @texoma and I like his tune. The 03 has a supposedly tuned ECU from Quantum Auto Tuning... But I think he just charged me an arm and a leg for a junkyard ECU without a tune.

I think EL tuned but I don’t know if he had long tubes or not?
I will agree she seems to run quite rich, but surprisingly I got almost 14mpg going up hills to 7k+ feet loaded to the gills with camping gear. But it was running kinda strange…..
I’m not tuned and would like one but I made the mistake of telling the tuner my cats got stolen and had test pipes in. And he said he couldn’t/wouldn't tune it because it needs to comply/abide……

@empty_lord is the last person, thank you. FFS, I need to write this stuff down. I mean, I'm sure it's good for my brain having to do all this random-recall shit, but it also scares the hell out of me when I try to remember, but draw a blank. Or I recall something, only to find it wasn't me remembering, it was me rembmeren't.

my ECU was brute forced with physical mods and bit edit.

VF tuner only supports 2 calibration files for the 4.7 last i knew based off his library.. and both are from 2nd gen 4.7 trucks. (mind you this was 2 years ago)

i will add that the X pipe is when i started running rich. prior to adding the X pipe everything ran fine with the JBA LT. removing the SAIS bypass also improves fuel trims. so im wondering if its an issue related to the way the hewitt bypass disables the SAIS that causes the rich condition on 05+. still looking into a way to disable the SAIS permanently in the ecm

All that can be done with the VF Tuner now. Same with the secondary O2 sensors.

Just saw the satisfaction guarantee. I think I'll have to email em, because I don't think he even tuned mine.

I swear this is something @Weagle was able to have his person do. But maybe I'm remembering wrong.

Jba long tubes Dirty deeds exhaust Vf tuner
I’ve got Hewitt and x pipe. I previously had cats from dirty deeds when he made the exhaust and I replaced all 4 o2 sensors from Toyota and soldered some extensions. I had the too rich codes with cats and my truck was wanting to stall sometimes at idol so I cut the cats out and haven’t had stalling issue since but I’d like to get the codes to clear and stop wasting so much gas I get 200-250 miles a tank on 33x20s. Before lt and exhaust I’d get 300 miles on same size tires

I just haven’t done it yet. But simply disabling the codes from setting “might” make it not go into limp mode

Yes, as I mentioned in the post above you, it's doable with the VF Tuner.

By codes do you mean the monitors or the P0 codes?
I believe the VF Tuner disables the monitors themselves. I'm not sure how that stops the SAIS from activating on start up. But that's supposed to be what it does.
Same with the rear O2 sensor monitors.

Edit: disclaimer: at the time I got my tune, I already had and still have the Hewitt bypass, and because I live in an emissions county, I also still have my rear O2 sensors activated. Once my trucks are 25+ years old, I could do whatever I want regarding emissions BS. I'll probably delete the cats and have the rear O2 sensors turned off.

Eh. I don’t fuck with monitors. Just disabling the codes should suffice. I want a working check light. I’m not trying to actively avoid emissions testing. (Indiana hasn’t had me test my truck since I bought it and I don’t know why)
