Back in the 'old days', my shop did break-in oil changes on new engines (500 miles in, and another at 1,000) then went from there....

Just passed 1,000 on my 2025 that they say doesn't need oil till 10k; which I'm kinda-fine with, but my historically untrusting haunches make me want to drain, fill, and swap filters.

    Thoughts?

I changed mine at 1,000. Currently changing my oil at 5,000 intervals. Makes no sense to wait to 10,000 no matter whatever engineer says. Gives me peace of mind.

You will find many on here do a change around 1,000 and then at each 5,000 after that. The conclusion is that 10,000 miles is too long of an OCI for a turbo motor.

I did mine at 660 and will do it again at 5,000.

In addition to oil, filter, and crush washer, you will need a 15mm tube to attach to the oil filter catch.

    https://a.co/d/eV59oGD

Right after you shut the truck off, hold the mist function on the wiper stalk to lower the front active spoiler.

I changed mine at about 900 miles and then I plan to change every 5k just for a peace of mind.

I’m a rebel. I waited till 1700 miles before the first change and again at 5K. 5K intervals from here on out.

.....and the whole thing with the auto-spoiler....does every Tundra have that? I didn't even know that existed.

If you have the TRD package with the skid it is deleted from the factory. Otherwise I believe all others have the spoiler.

I did mine at 1000 miles, but I have a 23 and they were in the process of exploding at the time. I believe now though it was only the all gas motors coming out of the Alabama plant. At the time there was a lot of confusion saying the hybrids were failing too.

Don't believe that was confusion. Numerous examples of Hybrid equipped Tundras with motor failure. All the motors are made at the same place.

The only reason the hybrids were not part of the recall is because the battery would keep the vehicle running and you wouldn’t stall and be left stranded on the freeway like the gas engines would. They are having the exact same issues.

Exactly, plenty on here have said the same thing but that's what toyota told me when I took my truck in. Bs that they know of the issues and know it affects hybrids as well but they wouldn't add them to the recall. I'm not sure if they will eventually or not.

Good thing I don't buy black vehicles

I never know when I going to have a long term or a quick turn around vehicle. Last one sold we had for 7 years.

Do you have the TRD skid? Maybe they made them work with each other for 2025.

It's the cheaper skid plate , not the aluminum one.

    Not true.
Plenty of TRD Offroads, mine included, with the TRD aluminum skid plate.
    Bought it that way.
    No interference whatsoever.

The rally package is a TRD OR with some extra goodies. OR has the plastic skid.

You may be right, everything I've read says the active spoiler is removed when adding trd package as it's not an offroad accessory. But having only a truck with the trd package I can only verify that it did not come on mine.

The TRD aluminum skid does not come as part of ANY package.
It is included on the TRD PRO model.

It is a stand-alone option on other trims.

As far as the spoiler, we've seen it both ways, with and without.
Not sure what the criteria is one way or the other.

My truck has the trd package and it included the aluminum trd skid plate. It’s even written as part of the package on my window sticker. They change stuff all the time so it could be different now, but when I was shopping, all 22-23 that I looked at with the trd package had the aluminum skid.

Numerous, rofl. Like your numerous troll posts claiming these issues? You own one? I do have a 23 that I bought brand new at 7 miles on it. Has almost 27 thousand miles on it and NOW and ZERO issues over 27 months of ownership. So, I would say you and your troll buddies have ZERO clues as to what you are talking about.

Oh and the Alabama plant wasn't making the iForce Hybrid motor, they were coming out of the Texas plant at the time. They may be making them now with tariffs and all but I am not sure.
