Tesla chargers are just as entertaining, imo. Love watching people trying to back in.

    You just wait
In the what have you done to your 5th gen 4Runner thread on the 4Runner forums, The amount of posts where they actually did something to their 4runner versus the amount of posts of them just saying they ran some errands or looked at it in the driveway is like 1 to 100

I have a Wagoner as a rental. The b&b we are staying at is an unattached garage turned apartment. The driveway to this location is probably 40 years long. I back the vehicle in each time so I may simply pull forward when departing. The wife said, "oh hell no. I would hit their fence backing in. Nope!"
This...this is why I am usually the driver.

She did tell me yesterday when she was driving it "I hit a curb today." I told her I am not surprised.

Took a 10-15 minute charge stop at a new 250kw V4 location this morning. North Bend, WA.

The Tesla charging experience is just plain flawless.

It took longer for my wife and kids to find and use the bathroom.

Depends what you do. I support a 24/7 operation. The occasional call is better than costing the company millions of dollars a day.

If I am expected to pack a phone around and answer it, then I am getting paid. If I'm not getting paid, then I am not concerned with anything that has to do with work.

In your kind of position that makes sense. In an hourly position that doesn't pay what you make, my time is mine. If they want any of it, they are paying me OT, and even then it's only happening if I want the time.

Don't get me wrong, I help out and cover vacations and short notice call outs for sick coworkers all the time.

That's to be nice to my coworkers. They are good people.

The company, however, has zero loyalty to me and I reciprocate.

I get that. When companies don’t support you, and can care less- that’s the time to exit. I’m also incentivized to close deals in addition based on margin; even if I wasn’t - I still would. It’s just built in me and I have a loyal following, respect and support for a reason.

I see you picked up the APS boards, nice.
I forget what part of the country you're in. Rust belt / salt state?
If I might make a suggestion: Give the steel mounting brackets a good coating of the rust preventative coating of your choice when/before you install.
Mine started showing surface rust relatively quickly.
I'll be taking them off, blasting, powdercoating and probably some rubberized undercoating / HercuLiner type stuff over the top of that.

I'm in Wyoming. Not a lot of salt, but it's still a good idea.

I went with them because of your pictures and because they are aluminum. Sure, I'd love to have the OEM, but I can go through 5 sets of these for the same price. Utter insanity.

For those that work from home and it's linked to all my work accounts and laptop, .gov email, VPN, chat, sheets, etc., etc. Also, they ditched most desk phones for when in the office. It's kind of a state wide thing and a great way to waste taxpayer money.

Prior to retirement the last 24'ish years I carried a work pager/cell for being reached after hours. It is so freaking amazing and liberating to be freed from that shit. Never ever again!!!

Yeah, I used to thrive on the need to be needed. And to be able fix shit that most couldn't. I kept a go bag packed for things like, you need to go to Guam tomorrow. No more, my phone is on DND from 10 to 10, and most of the time I don't even know where it is. It was fun, exciting and rewarding, but I don't miss it at all.
