I have a 2004 Toyota Tundra limited 4x4, it currently has the stock airbox/filter. I get 11-12 mpg, would a cold air intake help out? I've talked to several mechanics and all of them said it will not help out. Also summit has one for $219, sounds like a good price. Thanks for your help!

Not sure on the gen 1's but all other years to current they don't do anything. So I would say save your money. Look into a good exhaust and a programmer. Maybe that would help you a lil but you are driving a full size truck with a v8.

I just installed an afe cai with a pro dry filter on mine. I love it, good sound, great throttle response and I get 16 miles per gallon:shrug:
    And I'm lifted on 285s

I have the k@n on mine its in my build page. Took the ecm only a few minutes to relearn. On top end you can feel it.

Edit if you have a lead foot nothing will help your mpg.
