You guys were spot on with my last product needed so I thought I would check in again. Last purchase was a Bakflip tonneu cover. I am starting to have a need for a bed extender at times. I like the topline because it folds up into the truck but I don't think I want to have to drag my junk over it when I don't need it. The AMP looks like the next best as it follows the tailgate profile well and gives the most space. What do you think? Thanks!

I have oem. Oem is a no drill installation. Oem is actually made by amp. By amp brackets would need to drill. Go figure lol

I have the OEM as well. AMP sells the bracket so you don’t need to drill. I need to find that post that has the part numbers.

Yes I remember that person posting it. But if you order the amp regularly you would have to drill

    Here ya go.
Amp PNs are 10-3313x-92 where x is L or R. One for each side brackets.
Unfortunately, I already had drilled mine before finding out about this. And my rear corner tie down brackets came sprayed with thick bed liner from the distribution center. I use the bed extender that I had from the Silverado that I traded in with minor adjustments.

Looks like those no-drill brackets might be discontinued. Any ideas where to find them?

Call AMP and give them the part numbers listed above and they should be able to help you get the brackets

I had and loved the Toyota one in my Tacoma, however I haven't needed one for the Tundra yet.

On a side note, have @GNX6 and @GNTundra already learned of their shared passion?

I called and ordered the brackets, thanks a bunch. The guy on the phone was as helpful as an empty milk carton so it was good to have part numbers.

The extender can be removed by pulling it out at a 45 degree angle from the down tailgate. No tools required and brackets stay in place.

I have an AMP extender... it just lifts right out. From the extended or open position, just rotate it to about 45 degrees and it slips out. When you have it rotated so it is in your bed and not on your tailgate, make sure you lock your tailgate so the extender doesn't get stolen.

Curious about this as well. I'd like to get one of these down the road but only with these brackets. If they're getting hard to find I might want to order the brackets now.

I bought a near new OEM (made by AMP) extender of Craigslist. Came with no brackets. Found some on Amazon for $12 with free Prime shipping. Had to drill some holes. Not a big deal.

Brackets were about 30 bucks and 15 for shipping. I can post pics when I get them. They are in Cali like me so I should see them soon. Summit Racing has the bed extender for $244 so with the factory $50 rebate it will only cost me $194

Thanks for the heads up on the rebate.

Tried calling AMP for the brackets and the guy on the phone said they are a dealer only part and would not sell it to me. He also mentioned that the part required drilling. Looks like I'll have to make a trip to the dealership now.

I would try to speak to another rep. Lots of people have ordered the brackets with no problems. The brackets were talking about do not require drilling.

My bad! Missed where you made the purchase. Glad you found something, I'll stick around for the pics. I was curious what their brackets looked like.

When I called to order the numbers the guy didn't give a hoot about it. Almost the why are you calling me about work related things when I am at work type deal.

Yeah the guy I spoke with had no clue what I was talking about. Said the only no drill brackets they had were for the Ford. Gave him the part numbers and that's when he explained it was a dealer only part and still required drilling. He then pat himself on the back and called it a day.

Question about the brackets. Does the factory spray on bed liner affect the fit of the extender. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

The spray on bed liner does not affect the fit. The bracket screws under the rear strap hooks. Picture isn't that great but you can see it on the bottom right corner.
