Both of my sisters are afraid to get on the highway..
The one who lives in DFW doesn't like coming to my house for holidays because she is forced to get on a highway/expressway.
Fine with me, I don't want her 2 felon daughters and their bratty ill ill-mannered kids in my home anyway..

BTW, unless we are coming home from me having surgery and I can't drive, there is no way I'll let my wife drive..

I have tinnitus. Not sure if anyone here has experienced it, but if you just have to know, download phyphox and use the tone generator to produce a tone at 6k Hz - 8k Hz. That's what I hear 100% of the time I'm awake. It's pretty loud, but the weird thing is that it doesn't interfere with my hearing everything else. Is what it is, been that way since I was a teen, so life goes on.

There's a strange dude that lives across the street, who apparently has some OCD about the leaves in his yard. So much so that he uses a blower to get every.single.leaf out of his grass. An electric blower. Fun thing about tinnitus - whining electric motors turn the 'volume' way up. The noise from his blower comes straight through the front wall of my house, and there's nothing I can do about it. He does this maybe 5 or 6 times a year starting in spring. He's been out there since 2p, and he'll be out there until after 8p.

I don't even rage about it, it just depletes my faith in humanity.

I had it, but I also have hearing loss. Once I got hearing aids, the tinnitus went away.

 

I was out of town for a couple of days and cannot catch up except just learned @GODZILLA is back in a Tundra. Congrats. Which stealership?

Another tinnitus and hearing loss person here. It's there all the time, it never shuts off.
I attribute it to a lifetime of machine shop work, loud concerts and just generally being a dumbass.
It's only in the last 10 years I've been protecting what I have left.
Thankfully, I've figured out how to tune out the tinnitus so I can sleep at night.

You've had your hearing tested and there's no loss? Usually one goes with the other.

@JMB 's post gives me some hope as I know I'll need hearing aids sooner or later.

 

I did use Toyota financial to get the 2.99 APR. If I had got the original SR5 premium in silver that my guy found, then it would have been 1.99.

That truck fell through when the shop they were going to trade for it fessed up that they had bloated it with ridiculous add-ons.

That's when he ran down the limited that I'm in, and they discounted it down to about 900 more than the SR5 would have been.
