Nice! I picked one up one a while back also. Idle is a little tricky to dial in but I'm happy with it.

It's very hard to understand you run faster than these trucks. At least back up your "data" with some 0-60 or 1/4 mile slips. Do you really think you can run a sub 12 second 1/4 mile?

The Ford F-150 Raptor R is faster than the Ram 1500 TRX in both 0-60 mph acceleration and the quarter-mile, according to Car and Driver. The Raptor R reaches 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, while the TRX takes 4.5 seconds. The Raptor R completes the quarter-mile in 12.0 seconds, while the TRX takes 12.1 seconds. [1, 2, 3]

    Here's a more detailed breakdown: [1, 3]

    • 0-60 mph: The Raptor R is quicker, taking 3.6 seconds, compared to the TRX's 4.5 seconds. [1, 3]
    • Quarter-mile: The Raptor R also wins here, with a time of 12.0 seconds, while the TRX clocks in at 12.1 seconds. [1, 2]

    Generative AI is experimental.

    Too many mods to come

Seeing as my truck ran mid 4's on the old blower via a draggy with less mods yes. Those times are perfect conditions and launches.. On the street from a roll here at sea level I've already out ran them both multiple times on the street and the dirt. These are owners I know lol. So not sure why it's hard to believe. The tundra can make the power that's not the issue the issue keeping it alive. Which I've found the limit and will be building a short block to handle more.. I'm not the only tundra here that's out ran a TRX from a roll. But think whatever you want when you're ready to crank that maggy up @snivilous can help. I'll be sure to get footage next time don't worry.

This is my truck, which is pretty average in the power department running on an outdated and lower power supercharger than current offerings, and at 2600ft elevation with 300k on the odometer. If you're comparing to drag strip numbers, the 4.37s time would be what a drag strip would use. 4.58s is the GPS "true" 0-60 time.

    Screenshot_20250425-193405.png

Considering @reywcms has a lot done to his truck and engine setup (I'm on a stock style intake, stock throttle body, stock exhaust, etc) and is running a much larger supercharger at sea level, I can certainly believe his claims.

The stock radio is the problem. When I upgraded to the dmx1057xr I was amazed how much better the reception is. My truck was a non-jbl no nav.

Once I finished debadging and saw how much cleaner the truck looked, I started thinking about the factory or dealership pin stripes that were on the truck when I bought it new. Turns out, even on an 8 year old vehicle, rubbing alcohol removed the stripes easy as pie. Took me all but 30 minutes.

This is a shout out to Ironman 4x4 USA.

I bought their suspension kit a few years ago and finally was able to get it installed this year. During the time I had the kit in storage Ironman had a recall on the upper control arm ball joints. So I went through the recall process and they sent me new upper control arms with updated ball joints. (this will become an issue later on). I tried to find a shop in my area to install it because I didn't want to do it on the ground, been there, done that, and not doing it again, and I have never install upper control arms on my own. Probably could have but they suck to put in IMO. The lowest estimate I received in my area was over $1700 to install the kit. NOPE!

Loaded the kit up and took it to Florida to my friends back yard shop with a lift. We get the back done and start on the front. Get the drivers side upper control arm off and break open the box of the new arms. This is when panic set in. My dumb ass never checked the upper control arms Ironman sent me on the recall. I had received upper control arms for a 4Runner, not a Tundra. Called Ironman USA and told them the situation. They handled my panic well which increased when they said they do not over night parts. I was in Florida for a limited time.

My Ironman representatives name was Bubba. Bubba told me that we can drive the truck without putting in the new arms, so I could get home. Then he said they will send out the proper arms and pay for shipping back the improper arms. I had him send the new arms to my home because as mentioned my time in Florida was limited. He then informed me that Ironman 4x4 will pay $450 back to me to have the new arms put on at home. I thought this was great customer service.

So I get home and the new arms are waiting. Try to find a shop to put them on and it was going to take weeks to get them in. Called the local Toyota dealer and they could do them tomorrow but it was going to cost $863 with an alignment. Not an ideal price but it was done right and it was done right now. Sent Ironman4x4 in the invoice, like they instructed me to do so I could get the $450 they offered. Well this week I got the check back from them. They sent me a check for $863. They paid for the entire install and alignment of the UCA's! I am floored at this level of customer service. Thank you Ironman 4x4 USA, you now have a customer for life.

    Some suspension tweaks
I went outside this morning all set to remove the Toyota "Performance" rear shocks I installed a few years back, to replace them with 5160s. Naturally, the top shock nut will not break loose. Thanks to the brine they use on the highways around here, and how much my truck sits in a closed garage, the bottom of my truck looks rough. Put everything aside, came inside and ordered a nut breaker and an air chisel just in case.
    Frikkin' brine.... :censored:

Clearly that’s a spammer but it wasn’t earth day. It’s red poppy festival here in town. If that’s not enough proof, the classic car show should be.

I did chuckle. At the end all these classics are firing off and revving the motors and you smell the exhaust and hear the rumble and the crowd is cheering and it’s pure American awesome. Then the new electric vw bus pulls out and no one notices or cheers. I love my city.
