My DC came without a skid plate. I guess one of the former owners got frustrated during an oil change. Since I'm probably hitting up a junk yard for a replacement sunroof I might as well put on a skid plate.

Are all 1st gen skid plates the same, or are the DC skid plates different? I seem to remember something about DC frames being wider than the frames on other models.

If the DC skid plates are different, would they then be the same as a 2001- 2007 Sequoia?

Does anyone know the maximum diameter spare that will fit up between the frame rails on a DC? I'm running 285/70-17s which are pretty much a 33" tire. My spare is the OEM size which is about 30.5".

    Will a 33" fit as a spare?

My spare is a 285/70/17 ko2 and it fit in the spare tire location just fine

double cab skid plate are pretty common in SoCal just yards they are always in the bed of the truck,

    Thank you BubbaW!

My memory was correct in the DC frame being a bit wider than the other models.

Good to know that I can get the spare to fit. Also good to know where to look for the skid plate. Thank you!
