Damn, 126k miles for $35k? That pricey. I would pass.

Based on the CarFax, it appears that maintenance has been done regularly.

    link to CarFax

The main thing I would look for would be to check for the cam shaft tower leak. Also, don't forget to get a PPI (Pre Purchase Inspection) done by a mechanic or reputable company. I bought my truck sight unseen except for pictures and the pre-purchase inspection report that I bought from Lemon Squad back in 2021. To this day, I haven't had any major issues. All Tundras aren't the same, but for the vast majority of them, they should last you a long time, if not 1,000,000 miles with proper maintenance.

They actually go to the place of business and do the inspection. It's an alternative instead of taking the car to a mechanic to get it looked it. You can tell your salesperson that you want to do a pre-purchase inspection (after you agree upon the price, of course). Then, you can even ask if they can borrow a lift for your mechanic (Lemon Squad) to due the inspection on. The dealership that I bought my truck from was able to reserve a lift for Lemon Squad while they did the inspection. After the inspection is done, you will get a report a few days later. You can go to this link for an sample report:

Mileage is way too high. Sept 2024, got a 2018 SR5, TRDOR, SR5 Upgrade Package, and all the chrome gone with all color matched parts (side mirrors matched too) for $35k and 65k on the OD. They gave me $20k for my 2016 4R with 100k on the OD. Yes, I know the platinum has a few more things but that is not worth double the mileage. Talk them down or keep looking.

Forgot to mention the link says $31,500, not $35k as listed in OP.

People don't seem to want to acknowledge it for some reason, but 2.5 gen prices are going up. Yes, there are still 100's of thousands out there, but there are probably 100 less every day due to crashes/rust etc... No one I know who owns one would get rid of theirs either. Seeing more and more companies using them around myself as well, and those guys run them until they are totaled basically. For people that own them, they are collectors trucks and aren't being let go. In 5-10 years I expect the prices to be the same they are now for one in good shape. If not higher.

Find one you like, that's been taken care of and then don't think about it. Going up to a 3rd gen and paying an extra 10-20k isn't the solution imo. But, if you can get a 1% financing or something vs 9% used...that might make that spread a lot less.
