I enjoy the simple touch. Would you mind sharing a few photos of your entire truck with the new wheeels?

Those look sweet! I know this is an old post. But I just bought some nice used trd pro wheels, and was considering pc-ing them like you did. But I want to put a clear coat to prevent them from loading up with brake dust.
BBS says not to PC their forged wheels. Something about it affecting the structural integrity of the wheels.
    Have you had any problems??

No problems, they still look new the powder coat has held up really well. As for BBS recommendation, I went down the rabbit hole on several different forums and decided that after researching, it wasn’t gonna be a big deal for me, but to each his own.

The powder coater that I use has been doing parts wheels and projects for me for 15 years and I ran it by him. He didn’t seem concerned.

Post some pics once you have them finished

I figured that was probably BBS's way of protecting themselves, "just incase."
We have a local PCer here that I've used to PC Dirtbike and ATV frames, wheels, and several other parts for me as well. I'm going to see if he can fit these rims in next week for me. And you say you had good luck ceramic coating your wheels? That has kept the brake dust build up to a minimum??

Your truck looks AWESOME!!! The only thing I would have an issue about spending that much on mine is, I'd be afraid to drive it! I wouldn't want to get it dirty!!
Before I saw yours I thought the TRD Pro grill was a waste of $. But seeing yours changed my mind, 100%!

I can’t speak to powder coating forged wheels, but when I had my TRD wheels PC’d, I had them clear them as well. It changes the color and sheen of whatever color is below (which was exactly what I was going for) but it has held up to brake dust, road grime, mud and dirt exceptionally well. It was worth it to me to have them cleared. I did my skids the same color but without clear. The look dirtier easier, if that makes sense.

That makes alot of sense! My whole reasoning behind wanting to have a coat of clear pc on top it to prevent the wheels from looking dirty easy. That's most people's complaint about the matte finish on the TRD PRO wheels. The finish wants to hold onto brake dust, grease, mud, and road grime. Where the gloss finish is MUCH easier to keep clean.
