Curious; how many of you daily drive your Tundra. I have a pretty short commute - 16-18 miles daily - and I found an '05 Tundra with roughly 180K miles that I really want to purchase. Or are you just cruising when you want to with your rigs? both? I have a '15 Outback I'm thinking of just getting rid of (selling) but maybe I should hold onto it. Thanks, E

I did daily drive my tundra until my son "borrowed" it, I've been daily driving the sequoia for 5 years now. I tried a commuter car, but the savings don't add up.

Wait...People don't drive their Tundras daily? Like they have a Chevy Spark that they drive around daily and then only use the Tundra to go to Home Depot on Saturdays to get mulch? Is this what were talking about here?

I drive mine a fair bit during certain times of the year, but not a daily driver. Basically during grass season like mid February thru October i am driving it 3-6 days a week for work.
I daily drive a 4runner. I normally drive the 4runner home and back to work and use the Tundra during work hours if its required. I probably put 10,000-15,000 on the Tundra a year and about 20,000 on the 4Runner a year.

Up until I was laid off back in March, I was daily driving my Tundra. Then my daily morning and afternoon commute (4-5 miles, 20-30 mins each way) turned into me dragging the kids around in the Tundra all summer.

Now, I drive it a couple times per week, and at least once or twice a month, I drive to customer sites, one of which is about 140mi round trip.

Keep the OB for sure. 15-19s are very desirable right now. To answer the question though, yes. While I did have a 65 Mustang I drove occasionally and a 17 Impreza I drove for a while, the FGT has been driven regularly for the past 25 years of it's life :D. My commute is 24 miles round trip.

I daily drive mine. 40-50 miles a day. It's perfectly fine for that, not ideal but this is the first car I've had that doesn't drink premium so that's a positive.

I daily drive my Tundra if the WX is bad, or I have to haul something big, otherwise I'm on a M/C. But In all seriousness, if the fuel bill is okay for you, it's a great daily driver. Mine is 25 years old and nary a check engine light, and I've had it since new. Super reliable.

Mine is my daily driver. I work from home a fair bit, so don't do a ton of miles. Been visiting sites a bit more recently, so probably done more miles in the last month than since I got it right before Thanksgiving, but still don't do many miles.

That said, from a 'can I count on it?' perspective, you mentioned the one you are looking at has 180K. I'd drive a 180,000 mile Tundra vs most vehicles with half the mileage any time. Though Subaru make a great vehicle too. Have one of those. Basically we gave our son my wifes car, she got the Scooby and I went and got the Tundra. It's the oldest vehicle by far, with the highest mileage by far (150K) but that doesn't concern me one bit.

I drive my F250 daily, my Tundra was a retirement gift to myself. The first weekend it was at my house I had it parked in the driveway and I was out shopping for groceries when my cameras on the house started sending me alerts, I quickly started a live view and there was some guy (early 20's thug looking) and he was looking under my truck, I assume he was checking out the catalytic converters (we have 4 on the gen 2.5's) anyway he looked up and I guess he saw my cameras in record mode with the red light on. He kinda dipped his head and walked away. I now keep the Tundra in my aircraft hanger at the airport and installed "Cat Shields" on my 2020 Tundra and 2020 4Runner. I can't stand thieves, if I can figure out how to load the video clips I will. I drive the Tundra usually every other weekend or once a month, I love it but I figure I'll keep the mileage low this way.

My 2006 DC with 190K+ miles is driven pretty much any day I leave the house. I've been work from home for the past 3 years so that "daily" is less than it used to be. Back when I had to go the the office I had roughly the same commute distance. I split between the Tundra and my motorcycle. The bike if I was running late and the Tundra if I didn't want to peel off layers of leather and kevlar when I hit the office.

Per my USAA insurance useage summary I drive the 4Runner 6000 miles per year and the Tundra 1000 miles per year.

I daily drive my DC to the tune of 18k miles a year. It's the most fuel efficient vehicle I own

My tundra shares daily duties with my 98 corvette. Kinda just depends where or what I’m doing. It’s a very comfy daily, my only complaint is it destroys gas. But with how large the tank is, I tend to forget how bad is and just throw a hundo at the gas pump and call it a day haha.

Pics of the mustang? I’d love to daily a late 60s mustang

Ursula was far from a daily. She was a Friday driver. I had her back in 2017-19. I ended up selling her to put a downpayment on new house.
