Hey All, I’m new to the Tundra Forum but not to the vehicle specific forums. I used to have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe and loved documenting my upgrades and ideas on the Tahoe forum. So here I am about to start a new build thread since my 2006 Tahoe was totaled.

After I totaled my Tahoe, I had the luxury of not need to replace it immediately. I knew I wanted to switch to a truck and settled on a Tundra. Specifically, I wanted a Tundra from 2015-2017. Didn’t want too much technology and still wanted the tried and true V8.

After a couple of attempts, I found my truck! A 2017 Cement Grey TRD Pro with only 57000 miles. I bought the truck October of 2023.

I have only recently started my build and haven’t done too much but there is plenty of thoughts of what I want to do. Without further ado here she is!!

Decided to go with a toolbox for extra storage. Cam locker was the east choice. Rails on top have already come in handy. Got the matte black standard depth to stay with the grey/black combo

When you bought it did it have the grill trim in cement or was it chrome? Looking to replace my chrome...

Hey nice rig and I like that Cam locker box- do the top rails hit the rear window when getting into the box?

Nice truck! Where in Memphis are you? I grew up down in Senatobia, but drove to Memphis for work after school when I was in high school. Probably before your time, back in the early '80's.

I’ve been looking at that same Camlocker with rails. Just curious…how far back did you have to mount the tool box so you could open it without the rails hitting the truck?

No. You just have to space it out correctly when you mount it

No rubbing at all and no mods to the fender wells. Went this route due to the 10# lighter per tire compared to the 295s.

New shift knob installed. Would’ve like the bottom to be more closed and encased on the shift rod but that’s not too big of a deal. The look and feel are great
