How are these compared to other brands? I have an OG PC7424 currently, but was looking to ceramic coat my truck and therefore need to do a little correcting first

I wouldnt get that G9 if you have that old timer already. If anything, I would want something with forced rotation/dual action like the flex 3401 or adam's swirl killer....or harbor freight 3401 copy

What’s the right polish? Noob here, I want to get my MGM looking like glass and apply a good ceramic coat (recommendations here as well).

    thanks!

So, what is the difference between dual action and random orbital? Is the G9 not a DA polisher?

Dual action (DA) polishers combine two movements: rotation and oscillation, which helps reduce heat and the risk of paint damage. Random orbital polishers, on the other hand, only have a random pattern of movement without the fixed oscillation, making them less effective for paint correction; the G9 is indeed a dual action polisher.

    not me... AI :)

Thanks, it is just a little confusing to me...the difference. So is this a top polisher and/or a big bang for the buck? Haven't seen a lot of rousing ovations....

Looks like the sale ends tomorrow...so just trying to get a better feel for the investment.

G9 is not a forced rotation machine....meaning that it'll stop spinning/polishing if you press down hard enough or it hits a curve on a body panel. Same as the Porter Cable.

Random orbitals will vibrate the bejesus out of your hands...not what you want at all. A forced rotation machine will be smoother and can correct easier.

    Awesome video explaining the differences.
