Do you offer anything for those of us who just want to extend the 5/60 drivetrain warranty?

nice job of getting this person banned by toyota usa from selling ext warranties. one thing you do not do is post cost matrix for vsa.

    Huh?
I don't know who pissed in your Froot Loops this morning but I was just asking if there were alternative coverage plans available and I was quoting someone else.

So, after reading the documentation with my current Platinum VSC... I can either transfer the extended warranty to a new private owner (not a dealer) or get a pro-rated refund and purchase a new plan for the new truck. I did not see any option for transferring the warranty to a new vehicle. It seems the warranty is attached to the vehicle, not the owner.

I have a quick question on these warranties. I have a Platinum from Troy. Should the warranty be listed on the Toyota Owners site? How does the dealership you go to know you have the warranty?

    Hi

There’s no where online where the consumer can review these. You can call Toyota Financial Services directly at the 800 number on the policy (800-228-8559) and they can confirm coverage. Plus any Toyota or Lexus dealer can pull up the info from your VIN.

    Thanks,

Before you buy any extended warranty, sometimes the dealer will buy insurance because of the engine problem. I read every single one of the documents they sent me and I don’t remember they ever telling me that I already have lifetime powertrain warranty

I just purchased a 24 TRD Pro with 24k miles so I have 13 months and 12k miles of coverage. I traded my F250 in at a Ford dealer so an extended warranty there was not an option. Does it matter where you get the warranty? If it doesn't, are there any go-to dealerships that sell these at close to cost? Thanks in advance.

So you did get paperwork from Totota? How were you sure the extended warranty was legitimate before you bought? It sounds almost to good to be true!

Yep you get a booklet from Toyota financial services. I felt confident it was legit because I was emailing with Spencer on his work email and it matched the address posted. But at the end of the day, it was put on a credit card so I knew I could have the charge removed in about 15 seconds if needed. But I didn’t have any reservations, lots of people have bought them.

Had my original warranty removed within 30 days of purchase. After seeing what people paid for 10yr /125K miles on Reddit, I felt like my local dealer didn't give me a great deal at all...... $3,500 for 8/100K.

I wasnt planning on buying a service contract when I bought the truck, so I did no research beforehand. I got cold feet with the price of the truck and all the tech. So much tech..... my nerves drove the sale for the finance guy. They know what they are doing.

Was able to get Toyota FS to refund the purchase price to the loan. Called the dealer and they mailed me a check for the sales tax on the purchase price of the contract.

Looking forward to buying a 10/125K in a couple years if I can find someone who can work with my VIN now that it's been covered then removed.

My experience with the extended warranty after cancelling today...
I got approximately 2/3 of purchase price back after purchasing a few months after buying the truck and close to 32 months of ownership. Will definitely buy extended warranty again, but may wait a little longer next time.

Just bought a new 2025 SR5. Bought an extended warranty through the dealer for $3500. After reading this thread I called and cancelled yesterday. Bought a 10/125k from Spencer for A LOT less. Give him a call if you’re looking for a warranty.

Was he able to sell you one even if you previously had a warranty on the truck?

Sent Jerry and email, awaiting response. Canceled the dealership aftermarket warranty, ended up being a bit of a fight to get that. They tried to dissuade me, telling me they would need to recertify the truck to get an extended warranty put back on it once I cancelled the warranty purchased with the sale less than 6 months ago. Whole conversation with the "manager" seemed a little sketchy.

I cancelled the overpriced one my dealer sold me.

How long do I have to add another? I want the Toyota Platinum for 125k/10yr.

    Thanks

If anyone on here that is selling the extended warranty can contact me, I am looking to buy one. Been trying the last two days to get ahold of the sellers mentioned in this thread to no avail. Located in Ohio.
