TRD dual exhaust with X pipe

I have got a line on a TRD dual exhaust for my 2011 CM platinum and I am wondering if it would be wise to install an x-pipe and if so, what's the best location. Thx

 

Good question... One I'm not sure you will get an answer to though. My exhaust was built to replace the cat back trd exhaust and was built with an x pipe. They are supposed to keep low end tq and will also make your exhaust more quiet. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone adding one to the trd catback.

 

Why would u modify an already properly R&D'd product?

 

Pretty sure a X pipe is not needed with TRD exhaust. Why??? Because it's already tuned. When you drop that much scratch, it better be good to go.

 

I spoke with Keith at Dirty Deeds awhile ago, and it was agreed that an X pipe would eliminate any low end torque loss. Anyone have the TRD exhaust that wants to weight in?

Not really.. Its almost identical. He makes it to fit in place of the cat back and tie into the TRD pipes. Same diameter pipes.

 

Doesn't the TRD come with Borla's? I know Bam's come with straight, straight w/X pipe, and/or optional mufflers depending on what sound you want.

 

If you are not losing any bottom end torque on take off dont worry about it.
