*Buyer Beware* Tig weld creations exhaust

I actually got a favorable response from him. Mine is 1 of 5 he’s working on and he will have it finished by Wednesday at the latest. I can imagine how stressed he is, but you gotta be able to deliver if you took people’s money. Like a delay is expected.. but 7 months later - horrible communication - not good.
We’ll see though. Choosing to actually believe he’ll be sending it out by Wednesday.

 

WOW!!! This guy is not the brightest bulb in the bucket that is a given. His response to others and his childish behavior should be a huge Red Flag for others to see and to stay clear of this idiot. There is no way I would be waiting this long for something I had paid in advance for. Everyone that is owed should call their card companies ASAP and demand they get their money back!!! Sounds like a real piece of work!!!!

 

Hopefully this thread convinces everyone to stay away from this seller. Terrible business practices!

It is from this TWC guy but I would (personally) not recommend purchasing from his business. I was also given the runaround and it took me 3 months to receive after being quoted 4 weeks. There are numerous people with similar or worse experiences, plus, he’s called out and insulted paying customers online.

Again, it is a very nice piece, but there are vendors and businesses that support our Tundras with much better customer service and practices in my experience. Atlantic Built and Dirty Deeds are ones I’ve seen (online) that I would look into instead.

Alright his latest on instagram. He has a long list of folks. Looks like I’m #10 in line. Mind you I ordered mine last September. I’ve also been promised every month it would be sent out. I have not tried to get my money back. I’ve haven’t gotten nasty only because it’s not going to speed things up. I’m not going to take a screen shot of his list. I’ll let y’all check it out.

Talented trades people are often absolutely shyt business people. It's two completely separate skill sets and it's a rare individual that can juggle both successfully. They tend to either stay very small time with a loyal following of people that will wait for them to "get around to it", or they have a meltdown from the stress of making promises they don't keep when business picks up but production doesn't. If they're smart they hire someone to handle the business side so they can focus on what they do best.

A friend of mine is an extremely talented carpenter/home repair/renovation guy. He thinks it's absolutely acceptable to tell a customer he'll be on site in a week and it end up being three months. Same for completion date estimates... I hired a fellow he recommended to tailgate 10 dump trucks of gravel and the guy was a no show twice on and agreed upon date and I had to call him to find out what was going on both times. He finally showed up on the 3rd agreed date over 4 weeks later. Nice fellow and I liked him too, but I told him if he ever wanted to haul gravel for me again he needed to do a MUCH better job of sticking to the agreed upon schedule or at the very least be calling me before I was calling him to find out where he was if something came up.

My buddy couldn't understand why I was a bit pissed about the no shows and delays with zero communication.

 

Gotta say, that doesn't sound like a lack of business admin skills - it sounds like a lack of respect for the time, money and schedule of others.

 

Yes, but both descriptions are correct. The lack of respect is not a good business skill.

Seems that he spends more time monitoring and deleting comments from his YouTube channel than building and shipping exhausts. Mine was gone in minutes. I didn’t say anything negative or disrespectful, just mentioned that orders, well you know the rest…

His last instagram post he brought up tundra exhaust. Last month I was near the top of his list. In fact he had a few made and said it would be sent out that week. That same list a month later had a bunch more names. My name if I counted correctly was now #10. How do you go from the top to #10. Oh yeah he also mentions about fraud charges through PayPal and what not. He’ll spit out a fake tracking numbers just to keep those pay apps happy. If we sat on his money like this he wouldn’t be happy. I haven’t done anything yet. Just hoping he comes through.
