IMG_8751.jpg I’m having so much trouble lining up the T30 screw for the door handle. I’ve been working on it for over two hours and had to quit because it got dark. Everything is fitting perfectly in place the way I took it out but the screw hole isn’t??? It makes zero sense and it’s extremely frustrating. I’ve watched a bunch of videos and everyone else’s is lining up and I’m doing exactly what they’re doing. Please if anyone has some advice or tips I’m all ears! (In the picture, everything is pressed in as much as it’ll go and you can see right to the left of silver hole in the middle, is where the T30 screw goes but it’s obviously not lining up)

IMG_4279.jpg Kinda hard to explain but look again at the location where that cover is going in. On the right side of that hole on the door. You will see 2 tabs that need to hook onto the door frame itself. It needs to “click” in before you can line up the cover for the screw.
The 2 tabs look like claw that once pop in will lay over the door frame. Chances are those got pushed inward a little. Just enough that when you put the cover back on it will not line up with the screw hole. Hence, you won’t be able to put the screw back in.

push this plastic piece toward outside the door frame so the tabs will click inn

Man I definitely appreciate you! Your idea definitely worked and it clicked but now now the door handle wasn’t opening and closing the door. I was able to get the screw in though. I had to go to Lowe’s and somewhat match it up lol. The spring mechanism was so annoying, I had to hold it with a pair of needle nose pliers to get it to latch onto the handle lol. But once again, I absolutely appreciate you! I couldn’t have done it without you my man.

Yeah. Wow. Not sure what you’ve got going on in there. But i hope you get it sorted out. Sucks for sure.
If the handle is not opening or closing, it’s probably not seated correctly. Check it again. You may have to pull the door panel off to get a good view of the inside latch mechanism.

There’s no in between. It’s either perfect or you’re struggling lol. The other three doors were a breeze!

Same. Went through the same problem before. It was always the last door for me. Took me two evening to figured it out. Was ready to tear my hairs out.
