A lot of temp repairs were made because the shortage of parts. Then full repairs once the madness calmed down. This was before I worked at the U; but there are tons of stories of water fed air handlers that blew all over campus because they use 100% outside air to condition and the water couldn’t take it. All which could have been solved by adding glycol to the water loops

A lot of people with old re-pipe jobs had big problems. Mine done last year is Pex inside the walls, but back in the day they used to just go up and over on the roof. Any insulation that was on those pipes was long gone from the sun and many burst.

Did a lot of manual labor today, lugging buckets of stone for drip edge carefully to not touch the seeded areas. Felt like I was training for some hardcore ballerina/weight lifting mash up.

But for my home/my MIL, I was grinding stumps! I bought this stump grinder maybe almost 3 years ago now, at least a solid 2, off of a landscaping crew that thought it was too hard to run. It is a Toro SGR13 with a 13hp Honda engine and Green-teeth on the wheel. It was about $800 all in after having it completely run through, and I have ground literally hundreds of stumps. It came with only about 50 hours on it and honestly didn't need much to get it running like a top. I have caught a lot of shit for this thing because 1) it's tiny and slow and more importantly 2) it's not self propelled and takes a lot of physical effort to run this thing. The first photo stump took me 1:15. The small stump photo is what I generally am doing, I only do a few larger stumps a year, but my body won't forget them. All that said, I love this thing, it's helped my woods become much more toddler/learning to ride a bike friendly, and I haven't smashed up blades on my rotary since I bought the thing.
When I'm 50 or 60 I'll upgrade to something easy on me, but until then I'll enjoy the workout.

Picked up 6 yards of high quality vegetable soil and then had to move it about 500 feet up our hill to the raised bed. The Polaris Ranger with the dump bed saved the day for sure.

Naw, only when I'm done do I get excited. But I can assure you that nothing attached to me casts a shadow like that.

    None at this point.
We have a lot of that in South Texas...where it never freezes, until it does.
We came back from Jamaica one year to the Wife and I's first house only to see water running down the driveway.
Apparently it happened like two days after we left...and we were gone a week and a half.
I was highly pissed that my neighbors were to damn stupid to know the shut off valve was in a box right there next to the street.
All they had to do was pull the lid and put a crescent wrench on it to shut it off!!!
And I wasn't to happy with the water district either.
They knew damn good and well it was running and did nothing!!!
