Anderson Engineering said they do offer the 3UR manifold spacers in delrin. They will update the website tomorrow to show them available. Last year they had a 20% off discount for Memorial Day. Have to keep an eye out for a sale this year.

Glad they responded to you. Have heard no response to my request for performance data. I do recognize the temp variable is key for the SC folks. Just figured they'd have the additional data points aside from IATs

What other performance metrics would you want?

Spacers on a plastic intake I think would be even harder to see any performance benefit. And if you're not measuring temperature in a runner then you're not really getting useful data. If they had a probe in the spacer itself for IAT that'd be best.

Tacoma specs on their site vs Tundra. I'm curious what they see on the 3ur platform, specifically. "Increases driveability" is so vague, especially compared to their other listings.

Not sure I'll be able to use this block unless I sleeve it...driver's side and passenger side have rust in the bores. I vacuumed it all out and wiped it down, but it's into the liner. I'll try a dingle ball hone and see what that does for me. If no good, I will run it by the machine shop on Monday and see what they say.

I think you're drinking the snake oil too much. It's an intake spacer :p 90% of the shit they say is marketing. Delrin has high stiffness? It's a fucking plastic, about the only thing it's stiffer than is a piece of foam (not that it matters at all in this use case). Low friction and wear? All that air friction that's saved from using a self lubricating plastic? At least it wears good  Some dude probably didn't copy and paste the description correctly between the two trucks. Anything beyond saying it makes the intake run cooler I would assume is BS.

Drinking, yes. Snake oil, not yet. I haven't purchased but did inquire about the additional data. Their silence supports your position. Can we still be friends? o_O

Found the crank trigger information in TIS, I will still need to use the Oscilloscope function in the Haltech software to get the offset angle setup with a timing light.

I messaged them on their Facebook page several days ago, they just replied today. If there’s a sale I may consider them. Realistically, it’s another tinker mod that’s not 100% necessary. Lower intake temps are always good though.

Soooooo the 2025 suck continues. Cyl 8 appears to have ring issues (it had a 308 & the plug was oily) I gave it HD 5-40 & the smoke dissipated. but what the actual FUCK?????

This video is on the 5-20.

Isn't it odd it goes away on the throttle?

Looking like I might have an issue with my maggy2650. Started making a weird whistling noise yesterday. Gets louder with a higher idle. Odd part is if I put some pressure on the lid with my hand the whistle seems to settle down and comes back once I take the pressure off.
Anybody here experienced anything like that before?

not really sure, but I really hope so since I had it installed for me. I only got a chance a few minutes ago to really look at it.
Already got dark here but going to look up the torque specs to go have a look.

I just looked at the install instructions. Is their a lid gasket, o-ring? It wasn't mentioned or shown.

Thank you! Like most things, just takes time and research, hard work and money, and sometimes trial and error.

As far as the 4l80e transmission goes I'll keep you all posted on the details. Currently using an early 2000's transfer case from a Cadillac Escalade. Then modifying the fueling and ecu and then they're gunna throw the sauce at it and see what it can do! This time around it'll a have koyo rad, the bigger trans cooler as well.

Dang, I don't remember. I know that there wasn't a gasket, so I would lean toward an o-ring along the lines of the intake plenum o-ring. I mean, there needs to be somethings, right? I just don't recall....:bananadead:

    thanks.

looked over the install instructions and there's no mention of any kind of gasket for the lid. Just the lid straight to the supercharger.

Also all the lid bolts seem to be to spec, all of them clicked at 18ft-lb.

Ya, we're looking at the same instructions. But I just can't believe that there isn't something between the upper and lower halves. It's just been so long since I installed mine. What's it do if you blip the throttle?

If you need help give me a call, though probably someone in here that knows stand alones better than me. Sounds like the Haltech is the same way the ECU Masters is. Setting up timing I thought was pretty straightforward, lock the timing and then timing light to confirm and then adjust the offset until the input timing matched the timing light. The bigger issue I had and struggled with a lot was getting the ECU to reference the correct part of the crank as #1 TDC, which ultimately was an option as simple as swapping trailing tooth to leading tooth or something, which seemed to be the opposite of what other 2JZs were doing but worked fine for me. Of course the engine wouldn't run without doing that first, so getting the timing offset was a down the line type thing.

yea seems like an odd choice for no type of gasket.

noise goes up with the rpms, at 2k rpm it sounded like a belt squealing / tea kettle, very high pitched and annoying.
