Today is fifth day I've owned this Tundra.

I used the tailgate as a comfortable seat today.....had a cooler of bottle water and Powerade Zeros as a back rest.

I needed it, too. Yard work was not advisable ln the 90 degree--6,000% humidity....but it was the only spare time I had.

During one of those breaks I'd checked the mail and saw my new key fob cover had arrived.

The tailgate made for a handy workbench when adding grease to the weedeater's gearbox.

    It is simply a cover.

I used to be a goofball who carried around way, way too many keys on a keychain. Many of them I likely couldn't even remember what they went to.
As a result the constant contact with other keys would wear on my key fobs something fierce, occasionally depressing the buttons which wore the batteries out prematurely.

When I bought my new Tacoma in 2017 the issue was compounded with the big ol Taco key that had the integral fob.

Found a solution on the web....silicone to the rescue.

The cheapest one I could find.

My job doesn't allow any type of watches, rings or loose clothing for safety reasons around the machinery.
I'd pretty much quit wearing watches, simply relying on cellphone.

There are times when I simply needed a watch. I wanted something durable, accurate and one I can read at 3:00am in the dark...without cheater glasses on. It would also need to survive the heat when left in my parked truck while at work.

GunMag Warehouse had 'em on sale late last year.

Evidently it does a pile of stuff that I've never tapped into....step counting and links with iPhone ?
I need to study up on the particulars.

As much as I like the factory mats that came with my truck....the coverage isn't very good.

I'll have the carpet worn down and embedded with dirt, debris and stains in no time.

    IMG_4938.jpg

This truck is my daily driver that will also have to be easily cleaned up for date nights.

I ran WeatherTechs in prior vehicles, but stuck with the factory mats in my last truck, 2017 Tacoma SR5.

Before ordering another set of WeatherTechs I wanted to first see what everyone's experiences are with current aftermarket versions.

I went with Tuxmat based on recommendations from this site. Very pleased so far & coverage is second to none. We will see how they age. I’ve moved on from WeatherTech & have had Huskies before as well.

Same for me, Tuxmat fits my truck better than Husky or Weathertech fit in previous vehicles.

    I’d recommend them to anyone!

I got my ceramic tint installed this am. 35% front and 50% back. Next I need to find a good bed mat and the right sliders. Also have to mount my Escort Max 360c and M2 dash cam via the blend mount that I have. Then need to figure out the best way to power them. In my Gen 2.5 I used a blend mount power tap kit into the rear view mirror connector but I see in the Gen 3 the connector doesn't plus into the mirror, but instead the mirror has a pigtail that plugs in elsewhere.

Speakers mounted, not sure about the grills, the mounting holes are too close to the box seam for my liking, so I didnt mount them. Need to see what else is out there. IMG_8401.jpg

I thought about that, good suggestion though. Ill post up a pic once seats and trim are back in. Ordered a Steve Meade Designs DD-1 to tune, scope was being a pita.

    Thank you, guys.

Looks like I'll have to wait on Tuxmats to reload their inventory.

It got a wash because I just bought it last Wednesday and by the next day it was covered with dust and pollen. And yesterday we got mud rain which is always fun...I also removed the dealer license plate frames and plate from the front. Debating in removing the "SX" off the fenders...IMG_9506.jpg

I have the SX package, too (in white). Also have been debating taking off the SX decal. Let me know how easy it is if you decide to.

Also need to take off the 4x4 badge on the back.

I've been really happy with Husky. They are more pliable than the weathertechs.

You could always add some spacers on the box to move the seat bottoms even higher than what the box does. Running it ported?

They dont hit the seat with the 3/4” box lip, I just thought it looked cool. Currently ported and sounds good. The box is 2.4cuft, subs call for 1.6cuft per, so way off, sealed they ask for 0.5cuft.

Oddly, I am having mod remorse. Sometimes I think I should just leave things the way they were. I had the same thoughts when I added mud flaps, lol. Takes a day or two to get past it, its my ocd kicking in. System install looks great and worked out well, just need to tune it.

Right now it bumps but its not crazy and it sounds really clean. I am going to tune it to see what it has in it and might just put it back to where it is to limit myself from cranking it leading to those annoying rattles.

@eddiefromcali Do you have a gain knob, and if so, where did you mount it?
