2nd to last show for my go to supplier that's going out of business due to a family members health.
They had about 100 knives left at the start of the show and about 75 at the end of the day Saturday.
I ended up getting 6 knives from them at greatly reduced prices.
In addition to the 6 I bought at the show, I also bought a a fixed blade from a member of one my groups. Its coming from California, so hopefully USPS doesn't screw it up or take too long.
My wife has told me that I need to stop for a little while and that its an addiction.
She is right, it is an addiction and the manufactures know how to trigger the sales.
Thankfully, I don't drink, smoke or do anything like that but my hobbies are expensive.
You probably wont see any new knives from me until later this year as I am taking a break for a little while.
Not sure if its a thing or not, but we need a Support group similar to AA. LOL.

Anyway, enjoy these pictures and I will post the fixed blade when it comes in.

Guys, guys guys, the oyster knife @gosolo made for me showed up yesterday!

It’s perfect. It met all of the specs we discussed and is freaking gorgeous. I love the look and heft of the pin oak burl handle. The blade is gorgeous.

Worked like a champ on a handful of west-coasters we picked up last night. No shell carnage and the stubbier length wasn’t an issue at all. [Something about it not being the length of the knife but the motion of the shucker?]

Looking forward to this piece being my partner for a lifetime of shucking. Thanks Ray!!

Not specifically knife related, but I found some awesome Micarta plates from Dragonfly Scales for the Ridge Wallet.

The Inkosi is the best knife they make in my opinion. Is that the House of Blades exclusive blue denim or a black micarta? Hard to tell in the picture and my eyes aren’t what they used to be.

Carrying the Finch Pipeline today. Not a very prominent brand but they make some beautiful and solid knives.

Work has been reminding us we have a policy that limits blade length... so most of my knives can no longer be carried daily. I have a Hogue Deka that has been my current favorite but it exceeded our policy. Took it as an opportunity to acquire another knife

Thanks @RainMan_PNW for getting this on my radar. New release from Hogue, Ballista II. It arrived yesterday but I'm already a fan. Its very light, deep pocket clip so not noticeable and doesn't hit my hand if I reach into my pocket. I like the feel in my hand and I think this is going to be exactly what I wanted!

I will state, as a small auto it is the gentlest opener of the 3 I have. This is not a bad thing, but i was definitely expecting more of a "snap" when I opened it the first time. Its a solid open and not slow, but I'm comparing to a Kershaw Launch 9 and a Protech SBR.

Thanks for the review on this one. I have a Launch 9, so likely won't wind up with one, but it would be a nice add. I like the one with Ultem.

Yeah, I like my launch 9 and was debating buying a second in a different color just so I could mix it up or leave one in a pair of pants when I grab a different pair. But I think I'm going to like this Hogue a little more. The Ultem looked cool but the black with green suckered me in.
