What is that little thing? I think there is an electric one near me. I live in a crowded beach area, so this thing would be great for grabbing groceries or going surfing. Tundra hauls the boat and goes on road trips, but 95% of the places I go are less than a mile. Walking us great until I've got heavy bags.

Just an update, just hit 3500 miles. Switched to 87 octane and it seems to be doing better on that. We averaged ~21 on a recent trip and then 19 on our most recent tank with normal usage. This was using normal driving mode. I might switch this next tank to sport mode on 87 to see how that affects it.

Just returned from a trip WI to FL .. around 1325 total miles, average for the trip was 20.2 mpg. Includes all types of driving, mostly freeway set at 75 MPH, some city driving and two very long traffic jams. Very pleased with the mileage, currently have 11,000 miles on the truck.

Just saying, they don’t come up with EPA numbers going 70-80mph down the highway.

Yup. The highway portion of the test averages 48mph with a top speed of 60. All done on a dyno in very controlled conditions.

On the 45 minute trip from our ranch to town the max speed limit is 55, and there are only 2 stop signs. I routinely get around 23 mpg on that trip.

As others have said, mileage drops considerably at interstate speeds. 17-19 mpg is the usual at 75-80 mph depending on terrain and wind.

Technically both of you are (kind of) correct. 60mph max "highway" test, 80mph max "high speed" test. Table screenshot from link below.. includes line graphs of speeds vs time for each test.
