I'd take 50° with the sun out and no wind before a "dry heat" in excess of 78°.

When I first moved back to California from Arizona, I was cold at 72 degrees. Was crazy considering I am born and raised in Northern California. The body adapts.

If you can tolerate CA's lunacy you could check out neighboring next to @Tripleconpanna up in Oregon. Very green and lots of life up there. Were it not for said lunacy, I'd love to live there.

That's fine for me as well, but too cold to ride the motorcycle. I can still ride at 50° and figured it would be less of a shock to our cold blooded friends who are apparently incapable of generating their own body heat.

That's exactly my issue. I'll leave it there as I don't want to go into politics. You can choose to live as a free person or you can choose to live in California. You can't do both...

For the record, I can't tolerate California's lunacy. It's why I have bounced back and forth from Arizona for the last 15 years.

Ah, then you might like Idaho. There's a lot of the green and beautiful stuff there, but less of the lunacy.

We are incredibly blessed to be able to experience the true essence of America and how diverse and so different any two places are. I fall in love with my Country every moment of every day.

If I could spend my days traveling to the different and random places of this land it would not have been wasted.

I think that is where my path lies more than anything. A constant traveler seeking the next horizon to see what is out there.

I may never find home and instead the journey itself was the home I always craved...

Our IT department has apparently come up with a new way to save money. You can request software and install it once it's approved but it won't come with a license so you can't actually use it.

The IT guy who's helping me with my latest issue is particularly smart. We connected on Teams and I shared my desktop that way then he spent half an hour trying to figure out how to connect over Windows Remote Connect. Every time that connected, it would disconnect the Teams screen sharing and he would get mad that he couldn't see the screen even though he could see it through the Windows Remote Connect.

Then he was having some kind of issue with his administrator password so he had to connect us to another IT person so she could put her password in and then this guy could make the changes. So she's connected on Windows Remote Connect which means he can't see the screen on Teams again...

Dude, if I didn't have to work I would travel on my motorcycle and just chase the good weather. It'd be awesome to just travel place to place and see it all.

I'm keeping these places ^^ in mind when I retire.

Retirement dream house; minimum 5 acres, one level Adobe style, quality finishes, heated pool with a big covered patio/outdoor kitchen, attatched rv garage/shop that's bigger than the house.
Zero property maintenance is a must.

Just putting this out there. HOA's are the devil. They will make any sort of reasonable maintenance into a nightmare...Source, been there done that no thanks never buying a place in Arizona with an HOA attached to it.

You have been warned and don't think this is a joke.

I tried to get the wife to sign up for a year in a very nice trailer after we retire. Find some place for a month, check it out and move on. Not having a home “to return to” was a deal breaker.:crazy:

65-100 works for me. Below 65 I'm chilly. Above 100 is OK as long as I'm in the pool with a floating cooler.
