We have unprecedented amounts of rain here in the last couple weeks. Record flooding. My truck sits most of the time. Here for the past couple of days I hear water sloshing when I make turns. It sounds like it’s coming from behind the rear seat.
I have pulled all 875 half empty water bottles the kids have left in the back and have a full tank of gas and it’s still there.
Today it’s actually been warm and dry. Both times I have rolled up the rear window it has had condensation on the inside of the glass.
I am presuming water has made it in the void there. Are there drain holes that are likely clogged?
Of course I have a bunch of stitches in my back and the moment and can’t remove the seats until after Wednesday when they come out.

I felt around under the seat it is not wet, I tried to look from above but can’t get the gap wide enough to see the bottom.
The top area above the seat and the white fabric backing is dry as a bone and not discolored.
The window has not been left down in the rain at all.

@Black similar issue with mine. I noticed when I went through a drive through car was I could hear the dryers blow air into my car. When id roll the rear window down id smell mildew in the cab. I replaced the rear window seals on the exterior and it fixed the issue. I feel like there should be some drain holes but I couldn't find any.

I always wondered if our 3rd brake lights leak like the F-150 and allow water into the truck and rot the cab corners from the inside out.

I think with the design of our truck you would see staining to the headliner if it was leaking at the brake light.

So I pulled everything out and vacuumed (thanks kiddos for all your gifts)

Then I got the back panel off and sure enough it was full of water and what looks like mulch

As I cleaned it out more of the wet mulch seemed to come in from these little indentations along the back wall. I presume they are weep holes for water to drain between the cab and the bed. I haul a fair amount of mulch and that area between the cab and the bed is full of leaves and mulch so I am guessing the are all clogged. I need a long reach airwand to get between there and clear it out.

I wiped out all the wetness and ammo to let it air dry for a few hours. Then I am going to spray that whole area with Eezox to keep the moisture out and keep any of that from rusting. No signs of any corrosion yet thankfully.

I would have to dig them up again its been about a year. I do remember there was an interior trim piece vs an exterior. Exterior was the only one I replaced. Super easy install. 10 min job.
