I installed mine this past weekend and really like how it looks. I believe Banks will provide a reasonable path to upgrade to the Pro version. As I just received mine I’m trying to decide if I should return it and wait for the Pro or take my chances.

If you're like me and have been waiting to buy one, now would be the time:

Now through Sunday, Banks Insiders receive up to 25% off MSRP on all orders over $100. Plus, free shipping to the contiguous U.S. on orders over $250!* This special offer is locked to your email address and is non-transferable. Thanks to rising costs of raw goods like aluminum, steel, plastics, and microprocessors, prices are going up on December 6. Quantities are limited.

I had some unofficial intel that the iDash Pro would be released mid-December. I have been checking the Banks website every couple of days with no updates available. I finally called their sales line on Dec 13th and was informed it would be another month or two before the iDash Pro would be available (dang delays!). They are expecting the Pro version to be $120 more than the standard version but did not have any information on cost/process for those of us who want to upgrade.

@ToyFan I don't see a place to exchange or return the previous gen idash. What's the process to upgrade?

@Abell207 @Oolypoolay Jay from Banks here. The listing for the new iDash Pro and iDash Data Pro went live a few days ago. However, we have not started shipping them yet. And, the PID list on the site does not reflect the PIDs that will be available in the near future. The two main advancements in the iDash Pro is its increased onboard memory, which allows us to add PIDs that weren't possible with the previous iDash as well as its Bluetooth connectivity. Having Bluetooth allows us to update firmware frequently with no friction. In other words, we can update PIDs and functionality far more frequently. Something that just wasn't possible with the pervious version.

Yes, we have a path to upgrade from the iDash "Classic" to the iDash Pro. We're creating an online form. I will post the link to the form in this thread this week.

Yes... I hooked it up at lunch in the parking lot and set it up. Waiting on the firmware update mentioned here:

One thing of note; it doesn't fit in the holder as sung as old one. I'll try a few wraps of tape on it to see if that helps:

They are due out this week... The only reason I upgraded was because of the up coming update; specifically the new engine and trans PIDs... tik tok.

Also, a few wraps of electrical tape snugged the gauge up in the mount

Looks like the firmware update is out, downloaded it this morning:

Trans Temp is middle R. TC Status is lower L. Gear doesn't seem to be showing the correct gear. It will show 1 when I put it in drive but then switch to P/N shortly after moving. Not a big deal, the Trans data is what I was after. Ill likely switch that gauge to Engine Oil Temp.

Jay from Banks here. This is odd. We tested Gear Selection on a 2021 and it displayed all individual gears. Since yours is a 2014, I will get a '14 in the shop to test ASAP.

Please share the iDash Pro with fellow Tundra owners. My goal is to make this the gauge of choice for all Tundra owners.

FYI, it was doing it before the update as well... Would show D (or R in reverse) then back to P/N when in motion... Not a big deal to me since the dash will show gears when in Manual mode.

Otherwise pretty happy with it so far and appreciate the follow up

Just got my idash pro installed this evening. All expected PID’s were there that was talking about by @ToyFan. Looks great and the banks app works flawless making changes and doing the firmware updates. Banks knocked it out of the park with this gauge. IMG_1944.jpg IMG_1945.jpg IMG_1948.jpg
