We’ll see if I do anything about it. Real test will be summer time when it’s a 105* out.

The one thing I really need to do is fix my up pipe. Was crawling around under the truck and saw a small leak. I’m scared to under the manifold bolts considering one stripped on me last time and caused a fiasco. May try supporting the turbo with the cherry picker and loosening the bolts on the head that hold the up pipe and see if I can make it fit that way.

This was about 3500lbs which is usually what I pull when dragging the rzr around. I’m hoping I get a chance to drag it to Hot Springs, AR in a couple of months and see how it handles that.

Minor update on my XAT long block build. Their backlog hasn't cleared up yet due to a supply chain problem in their end. They are working through it and have a plan B in place should they not clear the current hurdle. Fingers crossed I start getting photos of the build within the next few weeks.

I flushed and primed the meth system, set it for starting at 3psi and full on by 7.5-8psi, and bumped the duty cycle up to 24% from 16%. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow.

I ordered the Dragy GR70-C today to get the 0-60 results before and after installing stage 1 & 2. Based on what I've seen so far, the stock results should be around 9 seconds. What are your thoughts or what have you seen about the lowest 0-60 results after Stage 1 & 2?

3rd gear pull at 6.5psi with the meth. AFR’s are still a little lean but they are still dialing in the tune. Truck runs great and hits hard. I haven’t wanted to do any multi gear pulls until we get the afr’s where we like but running around town and just got footing it the truck is very happy. The meth made a big difference in how the truck comes online.

Ignore the LED dangling. I still haven’t figured out where I want to mount it.

If you would like to be added to the dragy PM chat just send me a message. It could use some fresh posts and revival. It’s one of those things where many are invited but seemingly only 5-6 people ever have anything to say. I think more people just need to buy a dragy.

In the cooler morning temps the truck is leaning out to mid 12’s. Warmer afternoon temps it’s right back where we want it in mid 11’s. Logs show I’m maxing the MAF out in the cooler temps. Jesse rescaled it for me again and I haven’t checked in the morning but this afternoon I’m down in the low 11’s for AFR so I’ve got hopes for the cooler mornings. I’m going to log it tomorrow morning and if they are still showing lean I’m going to be jumping the flex fuel system to make it always in high pressure mode and see how that works. My hope is it richens it up so I can bump the boost some more. I’d really like to finish with the tune in the 7ish psi area. Currently I’m between 6-6.4 depending on temps.

Have I mentioned how much I hate the stock throttle and transmission mapping?

Another note, has anyone hooked up the wastage dump to the rest of the exhaust? It’s annoyingly loud with the windows down.

Mine has been routed via the exhaust since essentially day 1. It's much better, though it did start to cause some tuning issues until we put the Banks Power straight through 3" exhaust on it. We THINK that was the solution, but then the ECU bricked itself when I was supposed to bring it home, and then my event happened the 2nd day I had it. Testing was never finalized, unfortunately.

I'm really thinking of going fill 3.5" turbo back for an exhaust since I know I'll expecting even more out of it than originally planned for the stock motor.

I’m not worried about exhaust flow with the SPD exhaust. Just want to get it quieted down so I can hear that sweet turbo sound more.

The kit should have come with the recirculation pipe. Have the spare ring that came with the WG welded to the correct end and a clamp at the slip fit end, and done. its pretty slick and overall, pretty simple. Just try not to go hulk on the clamp. It's a PITA to get the slip fit to separate when they are warped.

It really helps quiet down the growl.

Is the T51R mod something you would consider for a louder turbo noise or that will be too much noise?

Turbo whistle is fine. It doesn’t bother me. But the growl from the wastegate is something else. It drowns out the turbo and exhaust.

Yeah, it comes in the WG box. And will look like the screamer pipe adapter (uses the same clamp at WG).

The pump high pressure mod made a major difference in the afr’s this morning. Went from low 12’s to low 11’s at the same boost with or without the meth.

Well it’s either lost or didn’t come with it. I’ve got the pipe Jesse sends for it but no clamp. No big deal. I’ll have my exhaust guy fab it up.

The extra flange and the clamp come with the wastegate, we leave those in the box to use for recirculating the wastegate. We have tried in previous kits on many different applications, 4cyl, 6cyl, etc and it's almost impossible to recirculate the wastegate in production. It leaves 0 room for adjustment during installation. Seeing as even a degree of rotation off at the uppipe can lead to an inch by the time it gets back to the downpipe. It unfortunately needs to be fabbed on the exact set up and install to make it 100%. It does quiet down the sound during boost and allows the turbo to move to the front for noise :)

Nice, I was thinking it was the pump, as I had the fuel dialed and the injector pulse width wasn't dropping, but fuel was. Glad that did the trick. It most likely also messed with off boost fueling, so send me some logs and we can adjust... Which, holy crap, I just had a sick idea for the FF trucks. What about a simple hobbs switch that turns the pump to high mode at X PSI level... Care to help us build one?

Back in 2020 or so firemandan had a Hobbs setup on his FFV but later deleted it for full high psi. He has a few posts on here and on the hpt forums.

Apparently some superchargers come with them. @mustang67408 had some funky thing that came with his supercharger that plugged into the boost port and hooked into the pump relay and it presumably increased pressure once a certain boost level was hit. Like Mdl said he removed it entirely though, since there doesn't seem to be an issue always in high pressure mode and less shit to go wrong.

Ya, just imagine blasting on the gas pedal and that gizmo decides to hiccup and the fuel pump dropping into low pressure mode.

I think you are talking about this thing.
Yes it's supposed to up fuel pressure under whatever point it's set at..

I removed it and by passed the fuel pump vsv... My truck is FFV.
0 problems with that set up..
53 psi @idle and it's boost referenced now.
I've seen as high as 80psi with my vacuum/ pressure pump attached to it.. just to see what it would do..
